What Went Wrong? Bands That Never Quite Got There Empty
PostSubject: What Went Wrong? Bands That Never Quite Got There   What Went Wrong? Bands That Never Quite Got There Icon_minitimeSun Jun 15, 2008 1:45 pm

Along the lines of the Hit N' Run thread, what about bands who released either a demo or a few songs on a compilation but never got an album off the ground? I thought of this when listening to the Power From The Sky compilation from the former Rivel Records and remembered two awesome songs from a melodic metal band called Ayenna. I really loved what I heard and was really looking forward to an album from them but it never happened and the band broke up some years ago. I personally don't know of any others but I know there are many out there (metal and non-metal) so list away.

Powervice fits in here. Released one 3 track demo in 2005, and then nothing. They sounded like Iron Maiden, but they did it so well.

Level, an awesome doom band from the US, recorded the song The Allknowing for the Metal Massacre XII (1995). i was definitely on board... only never to hear from them again. i still love that song. cannot find anything else on them anywhere... even for download.

Great thread, i thought of this idea just after the Hit N' Runs thread. Bands that released singles, demos, ep's but never got to make an album. Good Work Dallas.

Gunfire Dance - Like Brian Jones era Stones meets Lords Of The New Church with that ole Johnny Thunders guitar. Could of been a moderate success in the 90's if labels recognised their incredible talent, had it over D Generation and the Throbs who were signed and able to make an album. Both being lesser talents to those unlucky britstars.

...other primo hard rock n' roll bands i thought should have been picked up by a label from back in the day and sent into a studio to bang out a full lenth are....
