I might give the album a try when it comes out. One of the perks of working at Wal-Mart is 10% off of taxable purchases and new releases from bands with clout like Metallica are usually on sale for just over $10. Movie Trading Company pays between $4-5 for CDs that would be in high demand used. If I hate it, I can sell it to them and only loose about half of what I pay (of course as long as I sell it to them before others who don't like it do). Ain't I a stinker?

Another new clip - songs sounds good! I am getting excited for this one - I hope I'm not let down.

Damn! I might start changing my opinion that this will be a mix of Load/Reload and the black album. Some of these riffs and whatnot are sounding way heavier than I expected.
Could be like a trailer for a comedy, though, where all the funny bits are in the trailer. New single goes live on Thursday, though, so we'll go from there I guess.

METALLICA's new single, "The Day That Never Comes", will be available for streaming on the band's official web site, Metallica.com, tomorrow (Thursday, August 21) beginning at 11:00 a.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. EST.
Glad they are putting this on their site so I dont have to listen to that radio station online lol. I bet their website will crash with all the visits though

Good plan, but you'd better make sure you move fast before any other haters try the same thing. I waited too long before trying to dump my copy of ST. ANGER and by the time I went to trade it in, the store was already flooded with used copies and wouldn't take any more!

As you can see above, I already have prepared for that eventuallity. New Releases come out Tuesday, which means many times I can get it at Midnight at Wal-Mart (believe me, they WILL have it, no doubt in my mind). I can listen to it as soon as I get it and then sell it in the same day if I don't like it (thankfully I now will have Mon. & Tues. off which helps that).

Sounds like you've got it all figured out!

I did see that - you are probably right about their web site crashing!
The short clips are reminding me of AJFA with bits of the black album - we'll see when it finally released. Can't wait to hear the new song tomorrow!

My plan has failed . The album will be released on a Friday which means by the time I am able to sell it back, it may be too late. I will probably have to wait to get it used, which is O.K. because despite the hype, I am not getting my hopes too high.

It took a good while before St. Anger discs began showing up in used bins.

The only Metallica CDs I see in used bins these days are Load and Re-Load...what a shock.

Bah! Great discs. If you disagree with me, then you, sir, are worse than Hitler!
Stole that line from Red Eye on Fox News. Hilarious show!

Oh yeah? I'm not a fan of The Simpsons. Red Eye is an awesome show, though. Too bad it's on at 3am.

Well let's just say that I can't agree...I would reissue them together in a box set as "Load of Crappalica"
