| Luckily I work in a very relaxed office. I can wear pretty much what I want. Lately I've been wearing shirts that I have worn before, just more often. I get asked quite a bit "What's Soilwork?" or "Why does your KISS t-shirt say Immortal on it?" I guess people think I'm too old to listen to such "childish" music, but you know what? I really don't care! I'm proud of my music! Life's too short to listen to smurf poo music! I listen to the best music in the world. Bar none! And other people don't "get it" then good. We don't need them anyway! Sorry.... I get sick of it somethimes though...... I could wear differnt shirts, but wants to do that? | |

| Sometimes, but they're usually my friends. Strangers are afraid I might crush them if they say something to me about something like that. |

| Sadly, where I live and work my band shirts are thought of as almost being the devils handiwork, especially my Iron Maiden-The Trooper shirt. |

| I wear band tee VERY occasionally at work, but I'm a salesman, so I must self-moderate. *sigh* | |

| My mother is the one that always complains, she only likes one shirt from aerosmith that I have. I wear at work those shirts that only have the name of the band printed, so people don't know that these are band shirts and ask me "what's king crimson?" | |

| I was told I couldn't wear my BOC "More Cowbell" shirt to work because the upside down cross (or whatever that is) on the back might offend people. | |

| One morning I overslept so I was running late. As I was getting dressed to go to work, I just grabbed the first clean shirt I came to and thought nothing of it. Turns out the shirt I grabbed was an Onslaught t-shirt featuring the cover of their Killing Peace album on one side and the words "Spitting Blood in the Face of God" on the other. About 20 minutes after I got there, my boss comes up and tells me people have been complaining about my shirt and asked if I had something I can change into or put on over it. I agreed to turn it inside out and that seemed to make him happy. | |

| I work at the post office and luckily I dont have to wear the typical postman outfit. So I pretty much wear band t shirts all the time. When I first started working there I wouldnt because I wasnt sure what I could wear and what I couldnt but after a while I realized theres no dress code so I wear whatever I want. I used to wear my Mercyful Fate shirt with the King on the front and the upside down cross on the back all the time but somehow it got lost. I really want that shirt back. No one ever said anything about that shirt. The only shirt I really get asked what the hell is that is when I wear the Helloween shirt for Walls Of Jericho. It has the guy with the pumpkin head playing the trumpet and people are like what the hell is that. lol. Otherwise no one either doesnt pay attention or doesnt care.
The only time I really had a problem with a shirt that I wore was with another Helloween shirt that I had. I wanted to just punch this lady in the face because she was just so stupid. It was right after 9-11 and I wore the Helloween t shirt for I dont want to cry no more where theres a crying pumpkin on the front. ( I forgot what was on the back) at the time I was working in my moms store and this lady comes up to me saying something like I dont think its right that your wearing a shirt that says "Hell" in it. I was like are you kidding me? Theres a crying pumpkin on my shirt for christ sakes what is so offensive about that? They dont even have anything to do with Hell its just a bands name and their Christians as well. Go buy a cd and see what theyr about before you make rediculous judgements. Then she just walked away. I can understand that at that time everyone was being very religious and it was a very bad time (not that its any better now) but still it just goes to show how stupid some people really are. Man I really wish I had Required Fields Kreator Pleasure to Kill shirt that day haha.

| people don't say anything to me, unless my shirt has something really satanic or pornographic on it (which many of them do). then some person may feel compelled to open his yap. not often does it happen though, & never do i give a crap when it does. _________________ | |

That's great, sometimes the most naive remarks are also the most spot on.

| I know I'm likely the only fan here, but I do like the Insane Clown Posse. Well, up until 2000 when they started working with other producers who made horrible beats. Not that anyone here cares. Haha. Anyway, I began listening to them in 1993, so I had a bunch of t-shirts. Then in 1997 their album The Great Milenko was pulled from shelves at 6am on the day of its release, prompting all kinds of news stories and controversy. They had a big following at the time, but after the record being pulled the band became a mainstream phenomenon overnight. Now, I grew up in Massachusetts, far away from where they were really popular—the Midwest. I never called myself a "juggalo" (what they call their fans) or painted my face like a clown, or any of that crap. I only knew of the band because of a girl I met in Boston once. She was from Michigan and would always hook me up with their stuff, especially the rare stuff (they're a great band to be a fan of, believe it or not). So after being a fan of this band for years, only ever meeting a few people that were into them, I'm walking through the McCain Mall in downtown Little Rock, wearing one of my ICP shirts—which maybe two people ever commented on at that point—and some ridiculous teenage wigger-moron starts shouting "What up, juggalo! Much clown love! Woop-woop!" He was shouting this from about 200 feet away, loud as hell, throwing up retarded gang signs. I was mortified! All kinds of people were staring and whatnot. Holy crap was I embarassed! Haha. I literally never wore an ICP shirt again. Not once. It was a dreadful experience. |

| I can't wear them at work because of our dresscode. But I wear them at all other occations. I never get negative responses, but sometime possitive remarks of other metalheads, because they realize from my shirts that my music taste is alright. | |

| Now that I remember, when I used to go to high school, people used to complain about my Exodus - bonded by blood shirt. People said "oh that is evil" "so stupid" "aren't you christian" "" and bad comend evrytime I wore to school.
One time a men that works on the lunch saw an ANTHRAX patch I had, and he started asking me about thrash and heavy metal, and then he told me that he used to study with DAN SPITZ on when they were on high school.

When the band switched gimmicks and tried to convince people they've always been about "God," I literally lost all interest in them. I sold everything but the main albums and EPs. I regret it now. I had everything from their Dog Beats EP, when they were known as Inner City Posse, to all their rare one-day/one-concert releases, some limited to just 50 copies. I made a TON of cash on them, though, about $5000 total (seriously, ICP fans are ridiculous). Either way, they're not very good anymore. Mike E. Clark was a producer that made songs, not just beats. I have some of his instrumental albums and they're all programmed beats, but it's good. The producers ICP use now are just weak. They're even working with Clark again, but something is missing. They're clearly not a team anymore, which is unfortunate. |

I thought I would have sold some of the things I had for a little more but unfortunetly not. The only thing I really did make some good money on was Psychopathics from outer space the first cd. I forget what that sold for but it got way more than what I paid for. About Mike E Clark I thought their last album would be like the old days since he was back but I was surprised that it wasnt even close. And yea when they threw in the whole thing about God that just totally ruined it. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.
