| What are you (those that live in the same country as me) going to spend your rebate (the 300 or 600 bucks coming free from the Government next month, not your yearly tax rebate) on ? I have saved exactly $5,000 since I started my new job last September, so I am literally going on a spender bender. I am going to buy gifts for my four nephews and all of the Iron Maiden remasters/reissues for myself. Sorry, it was $300 last time. I forgot it's 600 or 1200 this time.

Tell her you cashed it and took it to Vegas and said "let it ride". That will certainly surprise her

| This is not free. It will come out of next years refund and you will have to claim it as income. |

No! God, no! That's not what it's for. We need to jumpstart the economy. You have to go out and buy Metal!!! Priest, Maiden, Megadeth, Overkill and Anthrax. Krokus, Ozzy, Yngwie, Trouble and Impelliteri. Savatage, Kiss, Rush, Accept and Rainbow. Please, save our economy.

| Are you serious?
I went through a phase in my early 20's where I was REALLY totally disqusted with our Country. I then went and lived in Africa for 9 months. Angst cured!! I mean that with all my heart. She's flawed, but our land is still - in the grand scheme of things - a wonderful place.
Serious over....

| I'll be 100 percent honest for a mili-second. I have never cared for living in the USA. If I had my druthers I wouldn't. For what I do, my "freedoms" would not be diminished living in 75% of the other countries in the world. I have no visions of granduer of going somewhere else, but to get away from the mass consumerism and mass media of America would be a God send. Where's that can of worms pic that ult posted over at the CMR? |

I hear that but the progressive countries all have that. I work hard at ignoring a lot of it and live a simple life by comparison to other Americans. Don't even have TV right now as I cannot make myself pay to have direct TV and I live in the boonies. |
