favorite DEATH album

What is you favorite DEATH album?

- i voted for the Sound of Perseverance...
The guitar work on this album is phenomenal

to me, Death was like two different bands. as for early Death (old school), i went with Scream Bloody Gore. for latter Death (progressive death?) i'd give nod to Symbolic.

Spiritual Healing has always been my all-time favorite.

Sound of Perseverance. Awesome awesome stuff.

My top three:
1. Human
2. Symbolic
3. Leprosy

i've never been able to get into death because of the vocals but control denieds album was very good

"The Sound of Perseverance" but I like 'em all. When I get into a Death
mood, I usually pull out "Sound of Perseverance" or "Individual Thought
Patterns" first.

Ive only heard the first 4 so I dont know. I bought SBG like a week after it came out, I loved it. I had a video that had 3 songs from Death, Forbidden, Faith Or Fear and somebody else. I forget what it was called but it was in 1988, from the Leprosy tour.

The last three are all I can really say I like, and Sounds would be first.

I bought Leprosy when it first came out. I put it in my tape deck ans was like, "What in the world is this crap?!" It took YEARS before I even considered picking up another Death album.

arttie: If you like the last three, you should check out Human. It is definitely the link between old school Death (first three albums) and new school Death (last three albums).

to me, the album Leprosy, sounds exactly like one might expect when buying an album from a band called "Death".

Leprosy for me...though Individual Thought Patterns is a close second.

Yup. I'll second that.

I voted for "Symbolic". It's a rad album. My top 3 would have to be "Symbolic", "Sound of Perseverance", and "Individual Thought Patterns". I prefer the later, more technical stuff to the early CDs (although those are good, too).

Sound for sure. Such a unique album.

Leprosy gets my vote. They played Pull the Plug on a metal show in 1993, and it got me into Death. When I finally got to hear the album, I loved every moment of it. I'm especially fond of the soloing in Open Casket.

I'm surprised Symbolic didn't do better in the poll

Symbolic was my big time favorite, until TSoP came out.

I probably favor the Death catalog in the reverse order that it was released...or close to it.

i prefer it more in the order of their release... with exception of Individual Thought Patterns, which i do not particularly care for.

Spiritual Healing gets my vote!! I do not care for TSoP at all.
