Timo Tolkki

I was reading on blabbermouth that Timo Tolkki is now having problems with Frontier Records releasing his album "Saana - Warrior of Light Part 1: Journey to Crystal Island" without his permission. Cant this guy get a break or is he really that messed up? Anyway the point of this whole topic is that I was looking who is singing on this album Jennifer Sowle, Aino Laos, Heikki Poyhiä and Janette Sainio. One thing I have been wondering is what ever happened to Katriina Wiiala who was suppose to replace Koltipelto in stratovarius when Tolkki had his first episode (not the album)? I thought maybe she would be part of the Saana album since she was good enough to replace Koltipelto, but her name was no where to be found. So anyone have idea where she went?

Tolkki's a Froot Loop. He's now claiming that the only place to get this album will be his official web site, but Frontiers Records is going "WAAAAAIT A MINUTE!" so there may be an ugly legal battle on the horizon.

I think he probably wanted out of the Frontiers contract, so he faked the whole "the masters were stolen" thing, and is trying to independently release it. Sounds like a really ambitious project, too.

Either way, the dude is bat-shxt crazy.

He's nuts! He's claiming because Frontiers rejected his masters that he's somehow free from the contract. He posted all the legal documents on his page. Haha. Frontiers did reject the masters, because the music on it is not anything like what they agreed on in good faith. It was supposed to be like Nightwish and Within Temptation. Anyone heard the album? There's nothing "rock" about it. It's all orchestral poop.

So basically Tomi made promises and a contract was drawn up based on those promises. He delivered something totally different, though, and thinks that because Frontiers rejected it and asked him to redo the album, he's free from that contract. Haha. What a turd.

Yea I heard those song samples. Totally not what I was expecting at all and the vocals are kind of off pitch or something. really disapointing. I hope this doesnt rub off on the new Stratovarius.

No surprises with this guy. He has stopped work on his new album that he was doing thru pledge music. he was well over 100% and with all the updates he was sending it looked like things were going smoothly and he was probably close to finishing up. Now he goes and cancels everything? During this pledge music project he was also starting up another project with the old members of Stratovarius and after a few days it was announced he canceled that. Damn this guy just doesn't know what he wants to do.

Sucks cause I pre ordered the album and was looking forward to it.
