Was wondering what some of you guys thought about Sublime. I'm not a huge fan but i do like most of there material and thought that Bradley Nowell was brilliant on the guitar and mixing his reggae voice in there. My fav songs are
Badfish Date Rape Same in the End Santeria April 29, 1992

Even when I was in my ska phase, I just couldn't get into this band. Probably because that song that went "I don't practice Santaria..." got played to death on the alt radio station here.
I prefer:
Goldfinger Reel Big Fish MIghty Mighty Bosstones

Overrated like crazy, but a decent band. I enjoy them. I think this is a clear case of someone's death bringing them far more stardom than they deserved. But again, a good band. And who the hell can't like "Date Rape?" Haha.

My family really likes this band a lot. I dig their music; as a bass man, I love "The God of Thunder"s (Eric Wilson) bass lines. They fit perfectly into the songs. My favorite song would have to be "Garden Grove".
They're quite popular around here since Long Beach is 10 miles or so away from where I live. Also, at one point, my uncle lived above BJ.

I'm not gay eyesore
and what i meant by people don't care about pantera is people who buy band gear due to the pot smoking imagrey on it and people always go for marley, hendrix, etc. yet no one buys pantera's gear even tho alot of it is covered in pot leafs and such. these people usaully arn't fans of the music and only buy the t-shirts and hoodies or wutevert cuz its got a pot leaf or 420 on it
sorry for the misunderstading

I don't listen to them because they smoke pot. I don't smoke pot, I think it's one of the stupidest things anyone can do. I just dig songs.

I don't smoke weed, and I have never even tried it, but guess what? MILLIONS of people do. And I'd bet 90% of the bands you like have members that smoke weed. Better toss all those CDs!

As opposed to robbing a bank? Stealing a car? Using heroin?
There's soooo much worse one can do out there.

And here I thought I was the only one. I have people literally do a double take on me when I tell them I have never smoked pot.
While I would never encourage it, there are plenty of worse things to be doing. It's like almost anything else in life as far as I can see, excess is bad but in moderation it is manageable.

I know! Haha. No one ever believes me. When I joined the Air Force they asked me that question and when I said I'd never even tried it the interviewer put his pen down, took off his glasses, stared at me for a minute, and then said something like, "Answering this honestly is not going to keep you from getting in the Air Force. You're already enlisted and accepted." Haha.
I've always had that New England attitude so he didn't much like my reply. But I've really never tried. I may have had some contact highs, because I spent a lot of time in cars that were fishbowled, but I never tried it myself. It never touched my lips. I've also never tried a cigarette or any other kind of drug (besides alcohol).
And Whitey, how many band t-shirts do you own? What do wear them for?

And what's the difference between this and those that wear shirts with marijuana leaves on them?
