I know this post wil not be popular with some, especially eyesore, but I have to rant.

I am new to this forum and I am getting rather pissed off every time I read a thread when someone moans about "this has aready been done, use the search function".

What a load of old bollocks. There are over 86 pages of previous threads to search, why shoud anyone spend hours going through old threads when all they want to do is start a conversation about something on their mind. If you don't like it don't post on the thread.

I'm sorry if this annoys the hardcore who post on this site all the time but I say get over it and let people start threads about whatever they want.

Dude, you don't have to "spend hours going through old threads." There's a button at the top of the menu that sez "Search." Click on that and a box will appear. Type whatever you want to search for in that box (band name, musician name, album title, etc.) and it will pull up any threads about that subject that are already on this board. Easy as pie.

Just telling you before Eyesore does.

The search button takes the searching out of the equation. The server does the searching and reports back the findings. Of course it would be stupid to search through each thread, why would you do that?

Well thanks guys for putting me straight. I know i've just made myself look like a right twat but I really don't post on many forums and as stupid as this sounds i've never used this or any other search functions before.

Although I will admit, I get a little weirded out when you ask me to replace the rag with a ball-gag and refer to you as "Monkey Boy."

I think most newbies have no clue about the search function, but they are soon educated to the fact that there is one.

I use it once in awhile but would rather not.
