Subject: LAVATORY (German thrash) Mon Feb 04, 2008 2:42 pm
I picked up their 2nd CD today (To Protect and to Serve) and was expecting some bored early 90s thrash gone in completely wrong direction (the cover art wasn't that promising), well, the damn thing turned out to be SURPRISINGLY GOOD! Total full-throtle crossover/thrash!! Sorta like Tankard at times!
Here's one on ebay now: http://cgi.ebay.de/LAVATORY---To-Protect-And-To-Serve---CD-1993-Hardcore_W0QQitemZ320214070974QQcmdZViewItem
Lavatory? What an odd name for a band. Does it means something different in German than it does in English? In English it means "a washroom" or in more crass terms, "a place to take a crap."

No, I don't think that it means anything in German, weird name yes, but as long as there are bands with names like Bralalalala (featuring one Heathen member), Raped Ape and Dum Dum Bullet nothing is strange ...
