I used to be a member but never contributed and then they introduced a closing ranks scenario where if you hadn't contributed an album to download you got shanked to the curb.................it really pissed me off when I first found out!!!!!!!

I really liked reading the forum of what people thought about the actual music.

Well I have only downloaded two items from there, one of them was an Irish Thrash demo from the '80's, it's a cool place for stuff like that, but most guys there just take take take and it seems unfair.

Dont waste time talking to admins there. Those Russian kids are seriously deranged and detached from reality. I found my own releases there and very politely asked if they can at least acknowledge me and put "Released by Stormspell Records" next to download links... the dude told me something like "all record labels are rip offs, if you want advertisement, pay me $100 per month"... go argue... with such blatant attitude no wonder the underground is dying...

Dude, you make me wonder if we are talking about the same forum... thrashmageddon is all about downloading. I browsed hundreds of threads and they are all ther same: a pilot posting which contains download link to particular album, and then numerous telegraphic answers like "thanks", "thank you", "very big thanks", "I've been looking high and low for this thanks", "aaargh, you rule" etc.

I can't say much about the whole downloading threads, since I only
downloaded few albums I really wanted to hear for a long time and are
too expensive just to buy them (for example Redeemer) + I uploaded some
stuff, also just OOP stuff like 1st Paralysis EP, or some demos etc..

I'm a regular visitor there, just because of "The Place You Feel Free
to Talk" thread, which is a normal thread with normal topics - only 2
or 3 are interesting for me, though

Yea the best one is "I've been looking for this for ages" and it's a 2007 CD which they couldn't be arsed to buy.

but it's the same people responding with the "thanks" posts, although I uploaded a CD there and I've had almost 30 downloads and approx 7 thanks, I'd perfer to see the 30 thanks to be honest.

I'm a HUGE thrash fan who's always looking for old school stuff that's oop
and therefor impossible to find ( for the most part ) so I could use an invite also if someone whats to help me out
