Just what the topic says. Do any of you listen to the oldies or like any songs from the 50's, 60's and even into the early 70's.

Sadly, I used to play guitar in an Elvis Presley tribute band when i was 16-18 so i like a lot of Elvis tunes.

I also love The Four Seasons, The Temptations, Otis Reading and a few i cant remember its funny i know a lot of the songs but i rarely know the bands name.

Yes I listen to Jerry Lee Lewis quite a bit. He's my favorite from the era. I also love Presley and Cash. Pretty much anything that was released in the late 50's/60's on the Sun records label really appeals to me.

Steppenwolf, The Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Iron Butterfly, Captain Beyond, etc etc are all favs.

My Dad (rest his soul) was a huge fan of 50s/60s music, he had a pretty massive record collection (That must be where I get my music collecting mania from!) so even though I don't own any music from that era myself I still think I've got a pretty good working knowledge of it. Any time an oldies station is on the radio I can sing along with pretty much everything they play.

I also developed an appreciation for the Beach Boys and other 60s "Surfer music" (Jan & Dean, etc.) from all the songs the Ramones covered from that era.

Kentucky Rain is an awesome tune. I also like In the Ghetto, A Little Less Conversation, Suspicious Minds...among others. Elvis is pretty cool.

The main body of my collection is pretty much hard psych and rock from that era...so yes.

But beyond that some of the radio oldies that I never get sick of are

Ides of March- "Vehicle"
Blues Image- "Ride Captain, Ride"
Classics IV- "Spooky", "Stormy", or "Sunny"
Animals "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"
Sugarloaf- "Green Eyed Lady"
Blood Sweat & Tears "When I Die'
Chicago- (several)
Doors- (everything)
Arthur Brown- "Fire"

I grew up listening to my parents, dad mostly, "oldies". 50's doo-wop, 60's rock, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Sam & Dave, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Beatles, Stones, etc. It's all good.

Just to mix things up at dinner time, I'll occasionally tune the satellite radio to the 60's station. It's music that my wife & I can agree on.

I love The Shadows. Their stuff is pretty hard to find, but it's worth it. They sound way past their time.

I like oldies a lot. When I was a kid, I had a tape called fun rock and had a bunch of oldies songs I remember fondly (Monster Mash, They're Comming To Take Me Away, Splish Splash, Hello Mother Hellow Father, Sugar Sugar, Boy Named Sue, etc.)

I like Motown (doo wop) music, the Beatles, Righteous Brothers, The Doors, Moody Blues, Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Beach Boys, Ritchie Valens, The Contours, Everly Brothers, Allman Brothers Band, The Temptations, The Archies, The Byrds, The Mammas and Pappas, Simon & Garfunkle, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, etc. (My love for 50s 60s and 70s music comes from my dad who listened to a lot of that when I was growing up).

The majority of my "oldies" music comes from the 90s. Beatles, Stones, Dylan, hendrix, Yardbirds, the likes of that. I do dig some music from the 50s and earlier, like Johnny Cash, Elvis, and Robert Johnson.
