| Who knows them? What do you think? I've read that they are an aggressive thrash band, but I also see descriptions of them as death metal. Any comments? | |

| They are BRUTAL thrash! Very heavy, very fast-paced, and very aggressive. There are the odd DM influences, but they are in NO WAY death metal. Thrash riffing, snarling and screaming vocalist (more snarls than screams) and double-bass loaded blasting drums.
They have a myspace page. You can hear some of their stuff (demos, few tracks from official releases, etc). http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=31931625 _________________ You're cancer, you can't be the answer, you're killing me

| Epidemic of Violence is a masterpiece! As the guy at Classicthrash metal states; "It doesn't get much heavier than this, really"
I've heard that their last album was more in the modern / half thrash vein, can someone conform that? I haven't heard it.

| Probably the heaviest thrash to ever come out of New York, plus so many riffs that they are in Vio-lence/Dark Angel territory. Great band. Only their first two albums (Tortured Existance and Epidemic of Violence) are worth listening to, though. On their third (and last album) Timebomb, they essentially ripped off Machine Head/Pantera, so the riffs and aggression were gone. The first two are both totally essential though. |

| Timebomb was alot slower. more "street" type lyrics ala Machine Head dealing with prison life, crooked cops, etc.
still an underrated album for what it was, but not even close to EOV. _________________

| "Tortured Existence" is really good thrash, definitely worth checking out. That's the only one from them I would really recommend. Their vocals might be a little bit on the death metal side (but not much IMHO) but the guitars and drumming are pure thrash. | |
