I've been hearing rumors of a reunion.

That would be interesting. I just hope they tour. I don't really care for new material. 2 classic albums no reason to mess that up.

They already messed up when they released Time Bomb - No harm done.

Time Bomb was a good album. Just not as great as the first two.

I hope for new material, rather than just the nostalgia tour circuit. There is also a rumor of Gene Hoglan being involved. They need to get a drummer without 101 other projects. Hell, get Alex Marquez back.

To be fair, Time Bomb is not really an official Demolition Hammer album. Former band members had formed a new band, and recorded an album. Century Media said they would release it, but only under one condition - they had to release it under the Demolition Hammer name. That's why Time Bomb so far removed from the first two albums stylistically - it was never intended to be a Demolition Hammer album.

Yah, that's what I meant by two classic. Since I don't consider it a demolition hammer album since it wasn't really written for that band.

I agree with DR that Time Bomb sucks, but I also agree with MC in that while the groove metal thing is for sure, I don't hear a lot of Pantera worship and I definitely don't hear any nu metal in there.

Whoever first started grooving up the metal, I don't know for sure, but the tides were changing anyway. Pantera is unquestionably the most famous and successful, but I wouldn't really say that in 1994 groove metal was Pantera worship by default. Though the success of Vulgar had a lot of bands re-thinking their approach, for sure.

I'm not even that big on the first two DH albums, so...I guess I don't even care. Just throwing shit out there for the hell of it.
