I got Tarot's "suffer our pleasures" over the holidays and I LOVE it. My wife even thinks it rules!
Are their other albums as good?

i heard a few tracks here and there off of Crows fly back and those tracks were killer. I think the production is a lot better too on the new cd.
Great band..

Amazing band! I think Suffer Our Pleasures is their most modern-sounding album. Still, if you don't get pumped over songs like "Undead Son" and "Pyre Of Gods" you're nuts! =) Anyway, for a long time I thought that was their only album, then I discovered they've been around since 1986! Crazy.
Their earlier albums are more traditional 80s metal in style, even bordering on 80s rock sometimes. Outstanding stuff. Their first five studio albums and lone live album were reissued last year, all remastered, and with bonus tracks. Definitely worth picking up. I bought my copies from lasercd.com (Sensory). They also released a new studio album, which is awesome! I highly recommend them.
Samples?
WINGS OF DARKNESS (from The Spell Of Iron) LOVE'S NOT MADE FOR MY KIND (from The Spell Of Iron) I DON'T CARE ANYMORE (from Follow Me Into Madness) LIVE HARD, DIE HARD (from To Live Forever) PYRE OF GODS (from Suffer Our Pleasures) UNDEAD SON (from Suffer Our Pleasures) (YouTube Nerd Video) ASHES TO THE STARS (from Crows Fly Black)
I think Marco Hietala's vocals are wicked underrated. Totally unique, too. And you gotta love those early videos! Hahaha.
And I included the "Pyre Of Gods" video in case anyone else is curious.
I recommend them all, Rex. They're awesome. It's unfortunate that they never got any sort of real recognition until Suffer Our Pleasures came out. And I'm also glad that Marco isn't using Nightwish's popularity to promote Tarot. I think that shows a lot of integrity.

Yes all their albums are pretty good. Get them all but make sure you get the remastered ones
