Haven't heard much of these guys. What genre fo they play?

I reviewed their empires album and cescribed it as Vulgar display of Power with Painkiller vocals. A heavy thrashing concept release with stellar musicianship and nice filmscores mixed in.

I highly recommend empires of the worlds \m/

I had Empires of the World, but could never really get into it. They are a very talented bunch, but they pack too many riffs into the songs and it just sounds like chaotic noise to me. No groove at all. I read some reviews and on paper, they sound great. Progessive thrash with melodic vocals. But when I listen to it, it just sounds all over the place. Sold my copy.

i like that album i find it does have a lot of groove and you could so easily bang your head to it. i bought it blind not knowing anything about them or the music back when i bought too many cds in one go for my current liking but i still like it now
