| I love the digipaks. Sometimes I just line them up on my bed and roll around naked amongst them. |

| Well, maybe the digi-paks themselves aren't the greatest (as stated in another thread around here somewhere, I greatly prefer regular jewel cases) but the booklets are pretty cool on the remasters. Lots of neat-o pics and an essay full of useless trivia about each album. I am a total geek for stuff like that. _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

I'm trying SO HARD right now...NOT to visualize this! Too late for me. I am off to scrub my eyes with a Brillo pad now. Thanks Spectre! _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

Bro, every one of the releases with Bon Scott are like that. You are in for such a treat! (especially when you get to Powerage, IMO ) Yeah, I'm loving this band. Pretty funny, too, because I used to just write them off as "not my thing." And I didn't like Scott's vocals. But he's way better than I expected! I don't have everything yet, Powerage being one of them, but I love what I've picked up so far. I still hate "Big Balls," though. Haha. And the chorus of "Jailbreak" reminds me of Ultimatum's "Deathwish." |

More to come, too... ALL of the Epic Remasters came in the Digi Pack... so yes if one of the discs you got came in a Jewel Case only it might be remastered but not the most current Latest and greatest. "Flick of the Switch" is a great underated Brian Johnson disc... very raw in comparison to BIB and FTATR. "Fly on the Wall" sounds like poodoo... but there are some great tunes on.... Remastering didn't help. Ang & Mal butchered the sound on that one... They've even said that. "Powerage" which you already have is clearly the most underated Bon Scott discs... "If You want Blood" is a great live album... The Bonfire box set is worth everypenny. You'll dig "High Voltage" when you finally get it. It's a compliation of the Austrailian albums "T.N.T." and "High Voltage"(austrailian). I cut my teeth on these guys in 1980 and forward, If you want a complete discography of them check out this website. It's probably the best and most complete site I've seen. And I've checked out a lot of 'em. www.ac-dc.net the info is accurate and substantial. No other band I know of has so many different versions of albums. I mean really different, different covers, different songs, remixes. Long before this trendy stuff happened. they didn't do it to be trendy, different regions put out different versions... I've owned 3 different versions of "Powerage".... One was red vinyl, One had different mixes of 5 different songs. For years the European version of "Powerage" (on vinyl) had the song 'Cold Hearted Man' and those remixes. When the cd's came out (even the first issues, because I've looked for years) all the cd's became the American version worldwide. I've tracked down some cdr's with those mixes and those different tunes.... Sorry to ramble but I totally dig the boys from down under and I've collected so much stuff... crazy .... peace... | |
