The Florida Panthers have made the Stanley Cup Final for the second season in a row. Last season, they were defeated four games to one by the Vegas Golden Knights, who won their first ever Stanley Cup. This time, they face the Edmonton Oilers, who have made the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2016. Florida has yet to win the Stanley Cup; this is their third Stanley Cup Final appearance to date. Edmonton have won five Stanley Cups to date, with the most recent being in 1990. This marks the first time that Florida and Edmonton have met in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. In the 2023-24 regular season, Florida won both meetings against Edmonton.

Amazing. Edmonton have come back from a 3-0 series deficit to tie the game.

Game 7 is going to be one of the wildest games ever, I think.

Florida can win their first Stanley Cup at home, and prevent themselves from being laughed at.

Edmonton can become the first Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup this century, and Connor McDavid, the best active player to have never won the Stanley Cup, will win his first Stanley Cup if the Oilers win.

It's only the third time in Stanley Cup Final history a team has come back to tie the series after being down 3-0, and the first time since 1945.

I got the 0+0 part right though. For both games 6 and 7.

The Stanley Cup is going to Miami.

I can't understand choosing playoff MVP from the losing team. The Panthers are champions. That is the result of the playoffs. The player contributing the most to that end result is the MVP of the playoffs, right? So how did McDavid contribute to that? If anything, you pick Darnell Nurse as the Conn Smythe Winner, if you really want to pick a player from the losing side. He helped the Panthers more than anyone else on the Oilers team.

It really should have been Bobrovsky.
