Changing Album Cover Originals

Listening to “ Corridors of Power “ today.
I can’t believe they changed the original with something different.
Why the heck ? Who wanted that done ?
I loved the original. Him on the amps. Smoke. Guitar. Triangle.

Also Megadeth’s “ killing is my Business “.
The original was fine. It takes you back in time.
The new one is all glitzy, silly, and reeks of Mustaine.

Anyone else know of anymore album face lifts ?

Bands re-recording their original albums is an interesting topic actually. There's many that I like. Some that I don't. But none that I prefer to the originals. There are also some that I don't know the originals, only the re-recordings.

I do not object to a band re-recording a classic album. It's just more material for the fan. And a different take. Often times when it's very different to the original, it is a great addition to a fan's collection. And quite often the original album is OOP anyway.

I'm going through my CD collection. I'll compile a list of the good and bad re-recordings I own.
