Could be from right out the gate, the middle of the pack or at the end of a career? Studio, live, EP or compilation? Just has to be in chronological order by release date.

They may be mostly irrelevant to me nowadays but IMO Metallica's Kill'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets is a hat trick that will never be matched

Really hard to leave out other bands like Ozzy, Purple, BOC and many more, but those are the first bands that came to mind.

Seems like people didn't read the first post in it"s entirety?Â
"Has to be in chronological order by release date" <--- seems simple enough
Rainbow released "Onstage" before "Long Live Rock n Roll".
Slayer had two EP's out between "Show No Mercy" & "He'll Awaits". The other being "Live/Undead".
Maiden put out a live album after "Powerslave".
Not familiar with a couple of other bands Shannon listed, so maybe there is more?

Fine I change my post to any and all slayer albums. Or if you must limit me to three because I'm sure it's written somewhere in the constitution, I'll change mine to Hell Awaits, Reign in Blood, and South of Heaven. Happy now???
