I thought “ Defenders of the Faith “ was a top notch follow up to the amazing “ Screaming for Vengeance “. The song “ Love Bites “ was a knock out. “ Freewheel Burning “. British Steel. Point of Entry. Ram It Down. They were really a great band. Of course, never knew about Halford’s sexual preference lol till the 90s.
70s for me. Not even close. Rocka Rolla, Sad Wings, Sin After Sin, Stained Class, Hell Bent For Leather...game over in my book. As I said, not even close.

Are there any bands who started in the 70s and released their best albums in the 90s?
Maybe Saxon? It is debatable?

Where is E, all of the above? Guess I'd have to go with the 70's, but that's very hard decision to make.

Can I cheat and say 80's THROUGH 90's? The string of releases leading up to Painkiller was almost nearly all solid gold.
