| Time for another thread where we post songs with cheesy lyrics. This doesnt necessarily mean the song is bad, just that the lyrics (or certain lines) are just ridiculous. I'll start with this gem from Maiden's Empire of the Clouds:

| Using Christian metal quotes in threads like these is like shootin' fish in a barrel, but every time this topic comes up the first thing that always comes to mind is Barren Cross' "Believe," which contains these two howlers: "Better than pot, JESUS ROOOOOOCKS!" "Smoke on His love, believe." Ummm, what?

That would be ridiculous but that’s not the lyrics. “As long as you’ll always be my biggest fan” is what he says. Wrong thread.  I guess it belongs in the (lyrics that sound like something else). I haven’t owned the album since I had it on cassette 30 years ago. Occasionally I’ll hear it on Hair Nation satellite radio. | |
