Hey, he won the Slayer cds too! That is worth something. At least I accurately disclose eveything I personally know about an item. So I am to believe that all my Speed Attack Metal Series are worthless? Cuz that is gonna piss me off! |

I dont know if "worthless" is the correct word since it seems to sold good, but SAMS are Russian unauthorized booties, if that's what you ask, yes.

I think the winner is the one who asked the question about shipping to France, so he may be up to paying it, even if he is only (1). In any case, I wouldnt touch this tape with a 10 foot pole, let alone pay money for it, but each to their own I guess P.S. I should really stop throwing away all the junk tapes the bands send me. I may have trashed some real treasure, doh

| There used to be an old used shop by me called Music Heaven. The owner was an old dude and his prices were retarded. For over ten years I saw this Babylon A.D. promo there for $7.99. It wasn't worth that much at all (I eventually got it elsewhere for $0.50). It was just a single for "Bad Blood" or "Bang Go The Bells" (I forget) with worthless b-sides. I once mentioned to the guy that the CD had been there for about ten years and he shrugged and said, "I don't haggle over prices; someone buys it or they don't." Okay, bud.
In the back of the shop, on a floor-level shelf, he had about thirty demo tapes that all looked to be from death metal bands. I didn't recognize any of the bands, though. Still, I was interested, you know? But the damn prices on these tapes were like $15.99! Haha. Again, after about ten years of seeing these tapes, I offered the guy $50 for all the tapes. He laughed, like I was joking. He said, "They're priced as marked."
He was a cool guy, he was never mean about it, but he was old and simply didn't get it. I mean, he still sold those $25 bootlegs you'd see in the early 90s well after P2P downloading made the physical bootleg almost worthless. But he sold them still, or at least left them sitting in the bins. He even sold bootleg tapes, with those bright green and blue and pink inserts! Haha. The shop closed down a while back. I didn't go there often so I never even knew it was closing. Had I known I might have tried to score those demos again. I'm willing to bet there were a few gems in the mix, and I doubt he ended up selling them. He was probably stubborn to the end. |

| Not metal, but a similiar story... Before they became known as Live, the band was known as Public Affection and put out a tape named Death of a Dictionary. It was a professional tape, not a demo or anything, but it was a very limited release and didn't really go anywhere sales-wise. Only one or 2 songs from it went onto their debut cd when they changed their name and rode the alternative rock wave of the early 90's. I had 2 copies of it and my brother had a copy that we got years ago from my aunt. Chad Taylor, the guitarist, is my second cousin. I never cared for it, as I was all about metal, and didn't like their alt-rock sound. Fast-forward to last year and I find out that it's a super rare-collectible by fans of the band. The tape has never been released on cd. I seperately sold off each tape we had for a grand total of almost $1600. Cha-ching. | |

They're one of my favorite bands (yep, that's right!). I have that tape on a bootleg CD, but I've never even seen the original. |

| Geez! I have two huge plastic bags with demos, oddities, and other tapes I've obtained one way or another during the 7 years I have been running the Stormspell.com (wow, how the time flies by, ugh!) and never bothered selling or anything... everything from death to all funny styles. Mayube I need to dig those up and try my eGay luck again. | |

I needed the money more than I need those tapes. My aunt (Chad's grandmother) has since died, and I haven't spoken to Chad since we were teens, but if I ever get a hold of him, you know I'm asking him for more tapes (if any exist anymore, that is)

Haha. Too bad you weren't a fan of the band, that would have been a sweet collectible. |

| to perephrase an old saying: if the stupid people could fly, eBay would have been an airport... If you sell rare stuff on eBay, sooner or later you got hit by one of the well known smurfy deadbeats like Jamez Arwine, Sean Kaufman, or Jamie Levine to name but just a few. Those jokers got constantly NARUed of course, but always return under new user IDs, so it is virtually impossible to know if you have been hit by one of them until the auction has ended and you see the joker's address. | |

| I have a copy of the ultraviolence that looks just like this copy of frolic. Does the restless version usually go for some $? I entered the upc and i found my copy went for 43 dollars last month, but no picture was included in the auction and perhaps people thought they were bidding on the enigma version. anyways, any help is appreciated | |

| I was watching one on ebay, when I bought mine, and it went for $25 (on Restless, I believe that this pressing is from 1993 but it's not mentioned anywhere). | |

| Here's an email I received from the ebay guy selling Target Master Project Genesis. What a lucky bastard.
"Knowing that you are a collector and you are determined to win this, i dont see why i shouldnt tell you. I was in my favorite cd store and only had 20 min. before they closed. I checked out the dvds first , then rushed to the rap section and looked for a while, didnt find anything good though, so i went to a section with very cheap cds and there are hundreds of them. I usually look for rap but only found one good one. So i looked fast and grabbed 2 more. I didn't care what they were because i didnt have much time . I pulled out some reggae cd and the target cd, there was something about this cd that made me not want to put it down, and i know nothing about metal, so thats the story. heres what I paid: 3 for $1.00, that makes it, lets say 33 cents. now dont let me down."

| Yeah, the seller contacted me too, but I'm done with bidding on that one Too bad that he already put it on ebay (it was still a fresh auction then at $10 or so), I would have offered him $50 and I'm sure he'd sell it to me ) That MD is about $10-$15 CD. | |

| Well, I'm done bidding on the Target CD now because the leader is a 0 feedback bidder. I'm not going on a bidding war with a 0 feedback bidder, screw that. | |

What does that mean? Is a zero feedback bidder a bot or something? Just curious. |
