I also love it. It's so different, brutal. Also so underrated, and also the first Priest disc I bought new.

But it's not a top three record. I again voted Stained Class. Side B especially is perfection. No music recorded and printed on disc has ever surpassed those 20 minutes and 51 seconds.

Others near this high position I have on my personal ranking are British Steel, Sad Wings, Screaming for Vengeance... and maybe even Firepower!

Jugulator has the weakest, least memorable and most monotonous songwriting of all their albums and ranks dead last in my book - Demolition, on the other hand, I think is great - as long as one pretends that Cyberface, Devil Digger and Metal Messiah don't exist  Very Happy  - I do really like Blood Stained off the former and a couple of other tracks aren't bad either. Not too fond of the guitar tone on the record, as it tips slightly into the "heavy, but muddy" sound to my ears, but it's not too bad.

I find Painkiller to be a good album, but overrated. Priest were always originators and turned into a bunch of followers on this record. Thrash was hot, so they switched gears. Granted, it was still good music, but they were jumping on a trend from 1990.

My top 3

1. Screaming For Vengeance
2. Stained Class
3. Defenders of the Faith
