Basic idea is to always vote for your favourite album out of the options that remain available. Winner of each poll gets removed from the next poll.
Let's try and get through this before the next Priest album gets released! Hopefully we will end up with a full, definitive ranking of HoM members' preferences regarding Priest.
We start... with number one!!!
Which Priest album is your all time favourite?
Note: NO LIVE ALBUMS FEATURED! And I will use the original UK/Europe title Killing Machine to describe their 1979 release, because I can't fit both Killing Machine / Hell Bent for Leather on one line.
Note II (just discovered this while trying to post): I cannot enter more than a maximum of 15 poll options. So please forgive me for excluding Rocka Rolla, Demolition, Nostradamus. I will add them once we move on and more albums get eliminated. If any of those is your favourite Priest album, let us know, but you can't vote for them yet. Also, give your head a shake.

I’m always gonna go with Painkiller. It was my first album by them and the musicianship is outstanding!

My pick as well. Intense, in your face metal. Speed of Freewheel Burning, the epic twin guitar of the Sentinel... and the record has Halford in his absolute peak.Â
I see Painkiller is winning and that's a good choice, too.

Ram it down is a great album too. The title song is one of my favourite Priest tunes ever:

They should get Scott Travis to re-record the drum tracks. The machine drum sound is just plain awful.

I went with Stained Class - it was a near toss-up between it and Sad Wings of Destiny
Everything obviously depends on the mood I am in, but if I had to choose, it would be something from the pre-Killing Machine era.
Also, massive shout out to Rocka Rolla, an album I love and rate highly, also relative to the rest of their discography.

Yeah, Stained Class is amazing. "Savage" is one of my favourite underrated Priest tracks.

What a consistent band! I mean, redeemer and firepower are as good as, if not better than some of their old catalogue.
Ram it down is a great album too. The title song is one of my favourite Priest tunes ever:
I love this album. Always have and always will. I have fond memories of walking to the record store in '88 to buy this. I was stoked when I read about it coming out in Hit Parader magazine a few months prior and was just blown away from the opening scream and subsequent guitar riff of the opening title track.
Looks like the polls already closed for this round, but I went with Painkiller anyway. I believe that was the first Priest album I owned on cd.
