| The greatest heavy metal band in the world, Axxis, have a new 2CD out next week called Best of EMI years: Compiling their material from 1989 to 1997. But it is not a traditional compilation album. It's all re-recordings. Upgraded sound (or so they say). Essentially what Saxon did with Heavy Metal Thunder. It's part of their 30th anniversary thing. "Bringing 1989 to 2019". There's a tour, a live album and also a limited edition box set with the Best of EMI Years included. I'll probably pick up the studio CD, and that's all because I already have several of their live albums, including the DVD's of the 20th Anniversary and 25th Anniversary shows. I find nothing wrong with the original recordings, but I am curious about if they changed some arrangements or made the tracks sound more massive. | |

| Somewhere I picked up Time Machine and Doom of Destiny and after a couple listens they just sat there. i finally traded them, it wasn't bad but not something that grabbed me. Kind of a weak Helloween sound imo. | |

| I know absolutely nothing of this band. Maybe I'll pick it up as an introduction to them. | |

| Still don't own anything by this band. Maybe this would be a great place to start. | |

| I'd listen first, the vocals are interesting to say the least. | |

I don't own anything by them either. I heard a few tracks from their latest release, last night on YouTube. Not bad at all actually. I am more curious now.

At least here in Finland.
