This band has an OMEN type sound. Haunting. As if King Diamond's little nephews - from Transylvania ! Under 3 minutes too - fast - like a breeze through the graveyard. Fact ! Have you listened to a particular song THIS MONTH - that has tingled your ear !

Pretty much anything from King Diamond and Mercyful Fate. Necrophagia comes to mind also. Abysmal Grief is a band made for Halloween too. I like those guys, but only have their first two albums. I know your asking for songs, but those three bands you can pick any song and it works for me.

I want songs - that you’ve heard this month 2019 - in car - at home - wherever. In New England - the foliage is gloriously beginning. Been rainy. I got my Born Again cds back this week from a coworker. An Early Ozzy fanatic. He said he didn’t like this new guy....ha ha.... three months later he returned the CDs - and said he bought the CD. It astounded me he didn’t buy the 2 cd set. Anyways, I listened to the CDs immediately. My God. Gillian singing “ Black Sabbath “ the song - was another moving experience in October.

I posted about this in the recent movie viewings thread, but I watched a movie the other day from 1988 called Hack O Lantern, which was definitely spawned straight out of the Satanic Panic and all that. It's a wild movie, and there is a random dream sequence where the main dude is dreaming he plays guitar for DC Lacroix in this basically full-length music video. I have been obsessed with the song and band ever since and is a good October tune. Here is the scene from the movie:
I have looked for the CD - " I Like Lightning " love that song ! They do have a CD out - but didn't recognize any of the songs. I love this video.....right up there with Zodiac Mindwarp " Prime Mover ". There is a scene in Blues Brothers 2000 - where the band gets turned into greenish statues by a voodoo princess !

It's not metal, but maybe someone here will dig it, and I gotta take the chance to promote my thing, but one of my favorite Halloween-ish songs is a 1966 garage rocker called "Witch Girl" by the Australian band The Mystrys. They wore hoods, conceled their identities and were supposedly aliens from another world. And their lead guitar player, Ziggy, took the time to answer a few questions for me for my blog while I gushed about my affection for the song. Here's the link to the posting, and the video for the song below.
On the week of Halloween for my work playlists, I will be going through all the King Diamond and Mercyful Fate albums with many other Halloween appropriate metal bands (Type O Negative, Fear Of God, October 31, Hallow's Eve, etc.).

Wow ! Who is Vanik ! Love that Motörhead manic groove - Song hints at that reanimater movie - if my memory serves me correctly. DB - I listened to Halloween “ Detroit’s Heavy Metal Horror Show “ last night - but was so tired, I fell asleep after 2 songs.

I'd never heard this band before but that track posted above is excellent and has been added to my Halloween playlist for all eternity. Listening to the album on Spotify now.

Yeah, Vanik is great and they love Halloween/horror. Both of their albums are well worth getting.

Looking at Vanik's bandcamp, they have something kinda cool. It wouldn't be essential, but as a fun novelty for the season I think it's pretty awesome. They basically did one of their own Halloween Sound FX albums. You can buy the CD or digital download on bandcamp, but it looks like a couple years ago they did something similar on a very "Halloween novelty store" looking cassette--which is what I would want, but is not available to buy.
