Me too. Great year and to be a teenager again...

Haha, I saw that video a couple days ago and watched/listened to the first half before I had to go. Guess I wanna go back there as s well, but only if I could be a little older than the 11/12 year old that I was that year.

And I want to know what I know now so I don't make the same stupid choices.

Same here.  My last year in college and the last year I really knew what "fun" was. 

And the music was great because we were finally coming out of the disco years.

I don't want to go back. Lots of terrible souvenirs and sadness around that period of my life. The only good thing about it was metal...

I was talking about the music but I wouldn't mind having my back not hurt either.

I was 11. I was into pop music and comics. The old coach saw his first Super Bowl that year.

I was 12 in 1982. I owned at the most, maybe eight cassettes, four of which were by AC/DC. The rest were by Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, and Van Halen.

I was 12 in 1982 and I got into metal probably the year before, and in 1982 I owned all of the AC/DC studio albums, and for Christmas that year I got from albums released in 1982 from my parents, KISS, Judas Priest, Scorpions.

It was following year when I was 13 that my interest in music really started to become all consuming.

I was only 8 that year. I was just getting into music (mostly radio rock and pop) but wouldn't become a Hard Rock and Metal fan until 1985. By '86, like Manny said, I too was fully immersed in anything Metal.

1982 was the last year before the great fragmentation of heavy metal.

Probably true, there was metal and it could be Black Sabbath or Aerosmith and it was an interchangeable term with hard rock.

Edit: replace "Quiet Riot" with "Asia." I just realized QR's Metal Health was '83, not '82.
