It really is so weird how I accepted their name when I discovered them as a kid. That name totally made sense. Now if I think about it too long, the more ridiculous it gets. Like in a "how the fuck does anyone come up with a name like that??" kinda ridiculous. Laughing

It's funny, I always thought the name was chosen b/c it has "metal" in the title. It's not just metallic- it's Metallica! Haha.

Fight Fire With Fire

Heard that as the lead off track on KQRS' Midnight Metal Shop in 1984 in Julie Bergstroms attic. Me and Jeff went immediately to Northern Lights and picked up our new back patches. I got Jump in the Fire with the big red demon and he got Creeping Death. I held onto that feel all the way until they decided to co-headline with Guns n Roses. By then, DRI, COC, SPUDMONSTERS, KREATOR, DESTRUCTION were all calling out Metallica as sell outs. I discarded my battle jacket and gave it to some hot chick as a sign of appreciation for her job well done the night previous. I still sleep with my Master of Puppets pillow to this day. But, to get back to the subject - Fight Fire with Fire altered me to this very day.
