Still haven't seen it, was planning on going in Oct then the Hurricane wiped out our movie theaters. I noticed it's now available on Prime (rent) so I may check it out. I read somewhere that they are planning a sequel.
We've got two more "Halloween" flicks coming, which should surprise absolutely no one since the last one made more money than the rest of the franchise combined...haha.
Universal Pictures & Blumhouse Prods announced today that "Halloween Kills" will be released in 2020, to be followed by "Halloween Ends" in 2021.
There will be no "Halloween Kills... IN SPACE" (points to anyone who gets the reference).
I thought the previous flick was pretty "meh" but I'm sure I'll catch the new ones when they hit video anyway. Once a fanboy, always a fanboy. (sigh)

How about rebooting Halloween III but calling it something completely different? Like maybe "The Stonehenge Masks" or "Cyborgs Of All Hallow's Eve"...anything without "Halloween" in the title because I swear the original "Season of the Witch" would be a cult classic if not preceded by "Halloween III".
That movie has so many great/goofy/fun ideas in it that people just ignored because it was billed like it was the third entry in the Halloween franchise.

I still haven't seen the last one. I'd probably catch these all eventually.

Maybe these new films will reveal that Michael Myers is a Silver Shamrock android. It would explain why he's so hard to kill.

Machete don't text.
But yeah, I'm stoked for these 2 new Halloween movies. I enjoy the whole franchise, except for Rob Zombie's Halloween II (hated it in the theater, and a year or two ago I gave it a fresh watch and hated it even more).
And I agree with the above comment that Season of the Witch would be a cult classic were it a separate film. Though I do think its audience has come around. I used to get a lot of shit from my horror friends for likeing Halloween III, but I think it's mostly accepted now as being great.
Halloween III gets a bad rap but I've always liked it. It's pretty much the only sequel I'm not totalky sick of. I think it's cool that it's become a bit of a cult classic. It spent so many years being hated that now it's actually kind of underrated.
