New AC/DC coming out with....

While I'm all for this happening and it seems very likely that it could, I would like to remind all y'all that this is still just rumor and speculation.

GnR are still on tour (at least through the summer) and there has been no concrete evidence about Angus or the future of his band. For all we know, Angus is sitting in a pub somewhere, smoking cigarettes and laughing at all the rumors.

But...it's on the internet. It has to be true.

I was there during Guns and Roses 1st album.
I saw a small photo in the back of a magazine -
it basically said - these guys were the next hottest - wild thing out of L.A.
A underground radio station played a song from it - I had my tape recorder going -
about a month later the record hit the cool stores - I liked 40% of it immediately.
The rest is history -
it was a cool two years -

Now - thoroughly knowing Axl - and the follow up G-N-R releases - ugghhhh

Yes, Axl is a dick.
Yes, his GnR vocals annoy the hell outta me ("cat tail in a toaster")
Yes, I'd rather AC/DC picked one of the MANY vocalists from the MANY AC/DC soundalike bands out there.

BUT...from what I listened to of the live footage from the tour with Axl on vocals, he actually was pretty good; much more like Bon Scott than Brian Johnson which is a good thing in my book.

So I'll give the new one a shot and go from there.
