I LOVE BABY METAL! Everything about this "band" goes against my metal/punk roots. But, God Bless 'em, I still have not heard a song that I do not dig.

I find it all to be one big mockery of metal music, too much schtick.

I've heard a lot of horrific things about Babymetal but those songs actually aren't too bad. I'm not sure I could listen to a whole album of music in another language so I don't think I'd buy anything by the band but those tracks aren't as awful as I was led to believe they'd be.

As someone who's based in East Asia I don't see it so much as a mockery of metal, at least not in the Japanese cultural context.
I like their collaboration with KISS. I'm not sure what KISS contributed besides being in the video, but it's a fun watch:

That wasn't Babymetal with KISS, it's a different girl band, Momoiro Clover Z.

This is the one Baby Metal song I really like but the fact is that the Japanese mix pop and metal like no one else on the planet. I dig stuff like Versailles, Jupiter, Aldious, Mejibray, Band Maid, Destrose, Mary's Blood and a host of others.
It's more pop than metal but because it's Japan we're talking about it's also metal

Gimmick, schtick, call it whatever you want. None of that matters. Personally, I just think the songs are shitty. Haha.

I've played a couple of tunes but I just don't get it. The performance and theatrics is kinda neat I guess. But the music? Not my thing. Have at it, Hoss.

Metal should be mocked, Spinal Tap is genius. I find this mostly annoying and their voices are like cats clawing chalkboards. Running Wild in the 90's is legendary cheese.

Chester The Molester would be a fan of "Baby Metal". After all he is Uncle Daddy to either Beavis or Butthead, or the brother-in-law of one of those guys that drink beer with Hank in the alley.

Ding, ding, ding!!!
My sentiments exactly!
But I still don't think I can listen to a whole album of songs in another language. I tried that with Rammstein and it didn't work.

I can understand that and I think most of us feel that way. I like Rammstein and Loudness, but rarely do I spin them, but what do I know I like death metal and they all sound like cookie monster!
