"Thor: Ragnarok" (2017)
Marvel's Thunder God is cast out of Asgard during a takeover by his long lost sister, Hella - the Goddess of Death. With a little bit of help from his evil half-brother Loki and the Hulk, Thor has to battle his way off of a death-trap backwater planet run by a maniac (Jeff Goldblum) in order to save his people. A fun, action packed fantasy flick with impressive visuals and a great sense of humor. "Thor" was never my favorite Marvel Comics character but I've been impressed with all of the films in this series thus far. Also, coolest use of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" in a movie ever.

"The Foreigner" (2017)
A grief-stricken father (Jackie Chan) who lost his daughter in a London terrorist bombing pressures Scotland Yard and an Irish politician (Pierce Brosnan) to bring her killers to justice. When that doesn't work, he heads to the Emerald Isle and starts taking apart the bombers' organization by himself. In other words, they f**ked with the wrong Chinaman.
Cool cloak-and-dagger stuff, with a surprisingly excellent performance by Chan, who sheds his usually goofy, happy go lucky persona here and goes darker and grittier than I've ever seen him. A pleasant surprise all around.
I dug this one as well.
Yah, that was quite a good movie. Chan surprised me with his performance. He and Pierce Brosnan played off each other really well.

The Mad Magician (1954)
The late, great Vincent Price as a designer of stage illusions for various magicians. Tired of them receiving all the acclaim for his hard work, he decides to strike out on his own with a special trick involving a buzzsaw as his grand finale. However, his employer stops him with an injunction due to a contract Price had signed giving the employer ownership of everything Price creates. Slowly losing his temper and growing more frustrated, Price starts resorting to murder to get his revenge. Also starring Eva Gabor (pre Green Acres). I liked this one. Pretty entertaining film.

"Batman vs. Two-Face" (2017)
This sequel to the successful "Batman & Robin: Return of the Caped Crusaders" animated movie is another campy-cool cartoon treat for fans of the '60s "Batman" TV show. Adam West and Burt Ward reunite one last time to provide the voices of the Dynamic Duo, untangling a series of crimes masterminded by the evil Two-Face, who's voiced by William Shatner. The always-welcome Julie Newmar drops in to provide Catwoman's voice too. Tons of tongue-in-cheek Bat-fun, but it's also a bit of a bummer knowing that this is the last time we'll ever see Adam West's name on anything Bat-related.

I liked that one a lot more than the original which I've always thought is overrated in the horror fan pantheon.

I'm the same. I actually only saw the first Evil Dead years after seeing Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness. Honestly, and maybe it's nostalgia speaking, I find Army of Darkness more entertaining than the original Evil Dead...

Slither(2006)-a meteor lands near a small, southern town unleashing slug like creatures that attack the townspeople, infesting their bodies and turning them into mindless zombies. Pretty nasty little flick here with a bunch of gross out moments and a loads of black comedy as well. I give it 2 out of 5 chainsaws.

I got quite a kick out of that one. Ultra-cheesy, but I thought it was a hoot!

Same here. I will never hear Air Supply the same way again!
And I just recently saw the male lead baddie in an episode of Stargate SG-1 and I immediately said out loud "Hey, that's the guy from Slither!".

"Coneheads" (1993)
"CONSUME MASS QUANTITIES!" Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin reprise their classic "SNL" roles as pointy-skulled aliens Beldar and Prymaat, who find themselves stranded after their spaceship crashes on Earth. Forced to adapt to Earth society, they start a family and settle in the New Jersey suburbs ("We are from France"), until their peaceful existence is threatened by an Immigration agent (Michael "Spinal Tap" McKean) determined to send them back where they came from.
This silly, quotable slapstick sci-fi is one of the better SNL-to-movie translations. Sharp eyed fans will have fun catching the countless cameos by "SNL" stars past & present and other comedy biggies incl. Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman, Chris Farley, Kevin Nealon, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Phil Hartman, Ellen DeGeneres, Michael "Kramer" Richards, Jason Alexander, and more.
(P.S. as a proud former resident of Beldar & Prymaat's adopted home town of Paramus, New Jersey, I must point out in the interest of accuracy that Paramus High School does not have a swimming pool, therefore PHS has no swim team for daughter "Connie" to join, as shown in this film.)
