| Tonight is put up or shut up for CM Punk. Dana White has made it clear that if he loses tonight, he's out. Yet Punk is apoplectic about never going back to wrestling and all his focus is on UFC but what does he do when UFC is gone? He has everything to lose if he can't get a win. | |

| That must be in the PPV portion of tonight's UFC 225 because I'm watching the prelims on Fox Sports 1 and if CM Punk was part of it I'm sure they'd be pimping the hell out of it.
And if he loses tonight he'll probably send his wife back to WWE. Which would be great IMO.
EDIT: So the last match of the prelims is Curtis Blaydes vs Alistair Overeem. So Dana White thinks CM Punk is more of a draw than the #2 ranked heavyweight in UFC (Overeem)? If that's true then I doubt Punk would be fired if he lost; Dana White knows how to make money. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| This comes as no surprise:
http://www.mandatory.com/wrestlezone/news/965271-dana-white-says-cm-punk-done-with-the-ufc-kairi-sane-wishes-bayley-on-her-birthday
All that money put into him and both fights end up with him looking sad and pathetic, Dana wouldn't waste anymore on him.
Not sure where he goes from here. He is adamant that he will never return to wrestling. Not sure they'd take him if he was interested. I doubt any promotion would want a fighter that can't really fight.

| I guess that shows how legitimately tough UFC fighters are. I always thought Punk was a "legitimately tough" pro wrestler but he was humiliated in the UFC. I wonder if some other supposedly "legit tough" wrestlers like Fit Finlay or Wade Barrett would have fared any better in MMA.
I watch a lot of UFC fights and those people (male AND female) are some tough as hell SOBs. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I think Fit Finlay was legitimately tough and Wade Barrett was a bare knuckle boxer and has the nose to prove it. Punk, while possessing a black belt in something or other, was never considered tough. An asshole (by his own admission no less) yes, but of course being an asshole doesn't make one tough.

| From Barrett's Wikipedia page: - Bare-knuckle boxing career While living in Liverpool in his early twenties, Bennett became a champion bare-knuckle boxer, going on to fight in various locations throughout Europe.[9][10][11][12] He competed in a match dubbed by the bare knuckle underworld as "The Battle of Buda", in which he defeated a reputable opponent for a substantial cash prize.[13] Afterwards, as he walked through an alleyway in search of a taxi to the airport, Bennett was stabbed with an eight-inch blade by someone who attempted to steal the cash. He has refused to elaborate on the incident for legal reasons, but the assailant incurred serious injuries, and Bennett escaped with the cash despite significant blood loss. The attack left him with a 12-inch scar that stretches from his upper back to halfway down his right triceps[13] and the punches he took during his bare-knuckle career left him with a disfigured nose,[9] but he has expressed no regret over that period of his life.[13] He incorporated his bare-knuckle career into his WWE gimmick at the request of Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes,[9] being introduced to the WWE audience as a European bare-knuckle champion who had fought on the streets of Europe.[14] His Wasteland move is named after the site of many of his fights.[11] wrote:

| Booker just called out CM Punk! When talking about Nia being too much for Rousey, Booker talked about how CM Punk thought he'd take over the UFC world and got his ass handed to him (paraphrasing of course) so Rousey could actually take Nia out. Although the fact he was basically saying UFC fighters are better, may not please the higher ups. | |

| Wow. I haven't seen any matchups on this PPV that I even remotely care about. It's either my lack of watching WWE during baseball season or the fact that WWE creative hasn't created any interesting feuds. I'd vote the latter. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Starts off with DB vs. Big Ass
Stupidest reason for a feud ever: You're smaller than me, I hate you!
If Ass hates small guys so much, how come he tied himself for several years to a man even smaller than DB?

| No push for Elias, Rollins wins. Though Rollins did pull the tights (or Elias's belt anyways) to win so I guess he doesn't lose face. | |

| Are these the pre-show or the PPV proper?
Those are some pretty lame opening bouts for a PPV if those are part of the "regular" card. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| DB and Big Ass were the first match of the main show. Apart from the ladder matches, they've done a poor job of building feuds.
The first ladder match (the women's) is next.

He finally cut that stupid thing? Even if he DID somehow miraculously manage to "look" intimidating, he'd still be boring as hell because...well...he's Borin' Corbin. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Don't tell me Vince is finally waking up. I doubt it. More likely this is setting us up for "The Chosen One" winning a major title. Which will suck unless they turn him heel. I think I'd actually get behind Roman Reigns if he was a bad guy. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
