I'm thinking this will make or break them. It's going to need to be more then just a Zep rip off.

I have zero interest in this band. After hearing a few songs, and hearing how much they use some of the same riffs as LZ, no thanks. Being influenced by a band is fine and dandy, but ripping them off musically is bs far as I'm concerned.

That stuff used to bother me, but I'm too old to care anymore. With the sh*tty state of music these days, if these kids can get some of the younger generation to care about rock n roll again, I'm fine with that.
There's a lot worse bands out there they could be copping from, so if it has to be someone, let it be Zeppelin.

My father-in-law told me to check these guys out and gave me the From the Fires album. He said they had a Zep vibe, but I wasn't expecting that. Blew my mind. I didn't know they were so young either. For some reason I pictured some older guys jamming.
I'm going to repost the Jimmy Fallon clip so you guys can appreciate the singer's outfit AND HAIRCUT.

Agreed, guys. Maybe I'm getting old too but I love these guys. At least they aren't trying to be the next Back Street Boys or Blink 182

I also heard Highway Tune last week on a show. I can't remember which show, maybe the new Magnum PI? But I heard it on a show somewhere.

Highway Tune is featured in the background of an ad on MLB Network for MLB gear too.

Boy, what a disappointment this album turned out to be, huh? I really had high hopes for these kids and really wanted to like this album, but it's just dull.
The lead-off song is slow and boring and unfortunately sets the tone for the remainder of the album. Too many slow-to-mid-paced tunes and not enough hard rockers.
I'll keep it in my current rotation in my car and maybe it'll grow on me, but I was really hoping this was gonna be a scorcher of an album, but it's barely luke-warm.
Way to blow your momentum, guys.

Yeah I never bothered buying this one because the songs I heard were pretty meh.

I really hope they go away and never come back. I lump them in with the likes of baby metal and Ghost. Nothing but a gimmick band, except their gimmick is to rip off one of the greatest rock bands in history. Every song I've heard is pretty much a direct ripoff of LZ. The riffs might be slightly different, but a small tweeker here and there, and you get plagiarism. I know a lot of you guys like them, but that's just how I hear them.

I think it's selling pretty well and they're getting a good push from the media, so I don't see them going away anytime soon. I guess there's folks out there that enjoyed the album. I wish I was one of them.

A song or two is fine but I can't hang for more then that. Too derivative so far but maybe they'll branch out.

I think it's hilarious that so many people act offended that these guys "ripped off" Led Zeppelin, a band that ripped off so many fucking riffs and lyrics and even songs! Haha.

Maybe a song or two they might have taken from other bands, but nothing like these guys. And I'm not offended, I just don't like them.

These guys are gonna be the musical guests on Saturday Night Live this weekend (01.19.19) if anyone cares. Or watch the performance the next day on YouTube.

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out on YouTube. Talented bunch of guys but my impression now is they're a one-trick-pony.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel on 'em yet, but I had such high hopes for that album and it failed pretty badly in my opinion.

I got the EP (From the Fires) and the full-length (Anthem of the Peaceful Army) for Christmas. While the EP was enjoyable, the full-length was too mired in hippy-dippy nonsense, When the Curtain Falls was a cool song, but the rest was dull. If they're going to emulate Zep, at least try to emulate stuff like Communication Breakdown or Rock and Roll.

I like the new album but dude it is straight up derivative Zep cloning material, especially in regard to the later albums. And is it just me or is his voice getting weaker?
