| I agree, mlotek, they did the same thing to Vladimir Kozlov as they do to all the other indomitable heels which is make them look impervious to pain only to later turn them into comic relief and then if they're lucky "wish them well on their future endeavors". | |

I sure hope they don't do that to Rusev.

I sure hope they don't do that to Rusev. I was thinking they already have. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

I sure hope they don't do that to Rusev. I was thinking they already have. There's still a chance, but it hasn't been pretty at this point (I blame Roman). This next run will either be the turning point or the final nail in the coffin.

| Well it's not a good sign that they've apparently split off Lana from him since Creative has been giving her "Emmalina-like" promos on Smackdown (also not a good sign for her). Seems like the death knell for Rusev as a credible heel... _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| WWE's video department is soooo good at these types of videos. Kudos to them for the Memorial Day video leading off RAW. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| The commercial for WWE Shop just made me realize we haven't seen The New Day in a while. Not that I'm complaining mind you but I'd just forgotten about them until I saw people wearing their gear in the commercial. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Other than that one line this whole segment by Bliss was LAME! (Sorry akeldama but it was). Not her fault though, she had to deal with the crap Creative dealt her.
AND after about 15 minutes of Bliss "humiliating" Bayley it ended with Bayley getting caned by a kendo stick. To me that only indicates that Mitt Face will be winning the title back this weekend at the PPV. After all, WWE can't have a PPV go by without a women's title changing hands can they? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Agreed. The sock puppet line was hilarious and the only statement that sounded like an Alexa original. The rest sounded inorganic like the writing team came up with it. | |

| Cardinals played a day game yesterday so I was tuned in to RAW.
We play a night game tonight but it starts at 6pm local time and Smackdown starts at 7pm. If recent games are any indication I might be tuning in to Smackdown too; the Cardinals have been getting their asses kicked lately. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Dolph Ziggler beats AJ Style clean? That better mean Styles is winning the MiTB match. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I just saw an ad for a credit company called New Day USA and that reminded me of one other thing that struck me during last night's Smackdown.
I was actually glad New Day came down to interrupt the Usos. I liked the idea of heel Usos at first but now they're just as boring as heels as they were as faces, maybe more so. So I actually welcomed the return of New Day after their absence of several weeks. And I find myself hoping they beat the Uselesses. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Although I agree with your post, Toho, I found the interplay between TND and The Useless to be entertaining. Even the Useless had to Crack smiles at some of TND's banter. | |

| Yeah that's my point.
A few weeks ago TND was beyond stale. But last night I liked how they came out to run down the Useless. The Useless need a real dynamic foil to play off of because they have zero personality on their own. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Hopefully they take the titles off of The Useless. They are better as heels, but they still do nothing but grate on my nerves. That "yo yo yo" style of speech they do is just as annoying as when they debuted. However, the entire Smackdown! tag team division is a joke. Apart from these two, what other tag teams do they have that aren't jobbers (The Colons) or jokes (Ascension and Breezango)? All that's left is American Alpha and we haven't seen them in quite a while and even they have been left dangling in the breeze.

I like the Uso's now a lot better than in years, but Smackdown live is a bunch of crap, and is just as bad as RAW. the WWE just don't get it anymore. Until I hear something better is happening, will stop watching. Now it is only TNA and old WWF-WWE (up til 2002) and WCW. as far tag teams that were starting to cook and bring new life to the division... but where are they? Heath Slater - "I got Kids !"

| wait.. maybe I missed it before... is triple h trying to make all WWE tv like NXT, aimed only at wrestling smarks ?? I stopped caring about WWE in 2003, and it was ONLY the weekend TV shows like Velocity with the "medium stars" I truly enjoyed for many years, as opposed to raw /smackdown
I like NXT for being oldschool and low key. the PERFECT arena for indie wrestlers to get globally known. Triple H has done the impossible, with getting these wrestlers over to fans that wanted more, but did not know where to look; but the AVERAGE tv viewer does not want NXT, a 1970s/1980s-era type wrestling show. This is only for hardcore fans.
Nobody can argue what Vince Russo has been saying for awhile - even people who hated wrestling, used to watch it sometimes in the late-1990s/early 2000's because it had major crossover appeal, wrestling stories / characters appealed to so many peoople.

| I think part of the reason Alpha has been absent is because people started souring on them and it happened rather quickly. I'd never seen anyone come in that the people loved so quickly and then turned on so quickly before. I think that's the same reason TND was off TV for so long too. | |
