Anyone else heard this album? I did and I deeply regret listening to it, it's among the top five worst albums i've ever heard, make no mistake, LP have sold out big time and are desperately trying to be the Chainsmokers. Also Chester is a real jerk for telling the people who don't like their new sound to go "stab themselves in the face", like seriously dude? That's not how you treat the fans that made you famous in the first place, Corey Taylor rightfully called him out on that.

I hope the tour for this album does poorly so that the band never pulls this crap again.

Their previous albums after Meteora had issues for sure, but this makes Minutes to Midnight look like a masterpiece.

I kind of liked that album, QR was leaning in that direction for a while so it was less of a shock for me.  But i've never heard a band do such a complete 180 turnaround in sound, LP went from their heaviest album-Hunting Party, to their softest one, it's not even soft rock-(One More Light makes pop-punk sound bad-ass by comparison, hell even St. Anger isn't looking so bad now) it's flavor of the month trap music garbage.

I haven't given this band a second thought in years.  Sounds like there's no reason to rethink that strategy.

I guess that they're doing this because being a rock band of any kind won't get you airplay anymore. Either way, while I'm not a fan of the band in the first place, I agree that the lead singer should be more respectful, and should have worded himself better and more tastefully.

And since you mentioned The Chainsmokers, it sure is interesting how a few years ago, they first got recognized for a complete novelty song, and a few years later, they're one of the most popular groups out there.

Yes I remember when I heard that awful novelty song on the radio, I was dumbfounded by how lazy and gimmicky it was, i'm depressed that those talentless hacks are popular now.

Not strictly true, rock bands still get airplay, problem it's been a long time since we've had a super succesful band like Metallica come around.

Never heard a single song by those clowns, except for the garbage they played on the radio all the time. Think I'll keep that trend going for myself.

This makes that Judas Priest synthwave demo sound like Exodus by comparison! Actually, I listened to this on Spotify, Talking to Myself and Battle Symphony were ok pop songs, but nothing i'd seek out and buy.

Never gave 'em a thought when they were relevant. Guess there's no need to start now either. I woulda preferred ol' Chet to stay with Stone Temple Pilots. Oh well.

From what I understand, there is a Chris Cornell connection... He apparently died or was found dead on what would have been Cornell's birthday. Supposedly, they were good friends.

A death is sad to begin with, a suicide is tragic. I see that he has 6 kids. That's terrible for them to deal with. My prayers go out to them.

No way have you gone the past 17 years of your life without hearing at least two or three of their songs, even if you didn't realize it. In the End, Numb (I actually heard this song on the local classic rock radio station this afternoon...now there's a sign I'm getting old!), Somewhere I Belong...they've had plenty of hits on both hard rock and standard "hit" radio.

To be fair, he did later apologize not long before he died, admitting he took it rather personally. He must have been in a bad mood that day.

Either way, it's sad he died. R.I.P. Chester Bennington.
