I remember when they released " breaking the chains " video.
I thought it was very good. My pals didn't talk much about that release.
Tooth and Nail - at that time and year - was outrageous.
Me and my pals partied to it outside with boom box....
I remember it was around October when it came out.
Partied inside, in the cold months, to it. Huge release.
"Into the Fire " video was outrageously cool !
Next album...kinda let me down....I think it was the photo too....
Saw them in concert, as openers , to major acts.
"Back" - was a little late in coming, but many fine songs....etc....

Under Lock and Key was the first one Dokken cd I owned, so it's got a nostalgic factor to it.

Under Lock and Key.

The first two tracks plus Till the Livin' End are my absolute Dokken favourites. And I even like the It's Not Love & Jaded Hearts -style more melodic tunes on the album.

If I were to include Don's first solo album Up from the Ashes, I'd put that in the top half of my list. It's a great melodic rock record.

I think I have an mp3 of that single. I'm not a huge fan of that era of the band up through Breaking the Chains. When I listened to the entire discography straight through a couple of years ago a played all of that material, including the live album From Conception and just didn't get into it very much.
