Truth be told, I'm starting to tire of Smackdown.  They just don't have the roster depth Raw does.

Like that last segment.   Just a total waste of time.  Dean Ambrose jumps that NXT jobber Hawkins.  Then he goes on his usual semi-coherent rant about how insane he is and how he wants Boring Corbin.  So Boring Corbin shows up on the Titantron and promptly puts everyone to sleep with his usual boring schtick.

So far tonight on Smackdown the most interesting thing we had was the Harper/Styles match and the Alexis interview.  And the opening with Miz/Cena was decent too if you can stomach Cena.

But other than that this has been pretty boring IMO.

EDIT:  Ugh, and now we get Apollo Creed/Crews (zzzzzzzzzzzzz) vs Ziggles (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz).  Seriously, what college basketball games are on now?

I'm the opposite, I think SD does really well despite a depth in the roster. The only lull spot was Ziggles vs Snooze. The Orton spot is looking interesting!

Yeah so far the Orton spot is really interesting.  No idea where this is going.

I think somebody in Creative has been watching the whole Hardy saga in TNA.  That's the only way to explain how something this theatrical made it to WWE TV.  It was a good segment but sooooo unlike anything WWE has done in years.

What made Orton's turn so good was that although it was inevitable the timing wasn't and the fact that it wasn't in the ring made it even better. Great turn. Great segment.

But way more over the top theatrical than anything they've done since Undertaker and Paul Bearer.

I still say somebody in creative is keeping an eye on what TNA is doing.  It wasn't too long after TNA did the Hardys vs Decay feud at the Hardy Ranch that we got New Day at the Wyatt compound doing pretty much the same thing.

And now this...

So where does this lead?  Are we getting a three way of Styles/Orton/Wyatt at WM?  I hope not; I'm sick to death of three way matches; it's a lazy booking tactic.

Shane will rescind AJ's title shot and that will lead to their WM match and to be honest for years WWE has watched TNA and vice versa. I can't think off th top of my head what but WWE would do an angle right off the heels of TNA very often. I think Foley and Christian (for example) went to TNA as spies for Vince. Look at how Christian won the championship twice in TNA and got repaid in like manner when he returned to WWE although his reigns were a joke.

Rumor is Broken Hardys headed to WWE. Could liven up the tagteam division if they do indeed come in as the Broken Hardys.

No they haven't. They built him up twice just to have him look like a chump against Cena and even more of one against Roman. Now he's stuck with Steroid Mahal, the Indian charisma vacuum.

Yeah, there were some big discussions on the internet between the similarities.

Yeah, especially in Wrestlemania! I can't recall a recent WM that didn't have one for a world title.

Jack Swagger asked for and got his release. I always liked him and felt with a manager he could have done good things in the WWE.

Finally got to see Smackdown and I think I am going to take a break from wrestling until after WM. Both shows have gotten worse. Ellsworth has worn out his welcome, it is time for him to go. He is no longer funny, I find him stupid. What would be nice is for Carmella to turn on him and beat his a$$. And what happened to the Bellas? They went from "cute as a button looking" to looking like trash.

So I will see what happens after Mania, no interest in Fastlane or any Raw or SD for the time being. But I will continue to listen to the podcasts I like (Jim Cornette, Bruce Prichard, etc).

As long as that manager isn't Dutch Mantell.

Global Classic Wrestling again on ESPNC.

I always forget this is on so I started in the middle of Bill Irwin vs Sweet Daddy Falcone.  When did Irwin become a face?  I always remember him as a heel who used his bullwhip all the time.  And who is this Falcone guy?

Holy crap! Global Supercard just showed a guy I knew from the gym in Jackson, TN back in the late 80s.  GWF had a bunch of "random" people come out and check Eddie Gilbert for foreign objects before his match against Terry Garvin and naturally since Gilbert was known for having foreign objects on him, each person found one.

I knew this guy from the gym had been involved in Memphis wrestling back around 1989 or so.  He started as a "cameraman" and eventually became a wussy, manager guy who always tried to help heels beat Jerry Lawler but always ended up getting his ass kicked.  On tonight's episode of Global Supercard he was the third "random" person and just happened to find a chain in Gilbert's boot.   I had no idea he also worked in GWF a few years after I moved to Connecticut and lost touch with the whole Memphis/Texas wrestling scene.

You got me curious about Global Supercard so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, ESPN Classic is not available to me. Too bad, I'd really enjoy seeing that old school wrestling again.

I know what you mean. ESPN Classic for us is now a pay channel and it used to be free. Miss those old AWA shows from the.... Showboat? Don't remember where but there were in the same Vegas venue every week with the same blue haired ladies sitting at ringside. Some good stuff on any old-school wrestling shows.

Yeah, ESPN Classic used to be a regular channel for us. I have no idea when it became a pay channel but for what I'm paying for cable, I don't need to add anymore money to the bill.

I always felt they underused Swagger

I guess the Hardys are no longer in TNA wonder if they will jump ship back to the WWE?

Who was the heel in that matchup, ADR?  Last time I watched TNA several months ago Lashley was a heel but ADR sucks in the face role so I'm guessing Lashley flipped again.
