I'm reading a book of cliches....
It's interesting to read how the origin of phrases...
And it really struck me how Heavy Metal uses them...
" Look what the cat dragged in "
" Dressed to Kill " , "Hotter than hell"
My late Aunt Anna...died at 94 years old
she'd say, when super upset - "hells bells" !
Anybody have any favorites - ?

I have a Bachelor's in English Lit and one of my fave courses was about the etymology of the English language. There was a cool show on History a few years back about the origins of clichés and everyday phrases like "off the cuff" or
