Which is Your #1 Song on Metal Church's XI?

XI is Metal Church's first album in 23 years to feature Mike Howe on vocals. It debuted at 57 on the Billboard 200, which is their highest chart position in their career. This release was very well-promoted and a nice comeback for Howe. I really enjoyed seeing them on tour for this album. While nothing blows me away, it is solid. I'm choosing "Signal Path" as I really like the opening guitar which stood out to me the first time I heard it. I wish it had gone in another direction, as I was expecting it to be great based on the opening, but it is still a really good track.

This is a really great album, beginning to end. All the songs are terrific to me. I do think Signal Path and It Waits are among the standouts but I'm going with It Waits by a hair.

I love this whole album ( see my extensive review in Hurting Words) but since I could only grab one, I chose "Blow Your Mind" as it's the one that really stood out on first listen.

I voted for No Tomorrow. Although I also really like Soul Eating Machine, Reset, and Sky Falls In.

No tomorrow for me. But there are other good tracks as well. What a year.

Shadow is the song I voted for, but it's really a toss up between that and blow your mind.

Great album all the way through. Signal Path is the one that grabbed me first. I really like Needle and Suture too. Voted for Signal Path.

Easily in the top five release of the year and one of the greatest Mike Howe fronted albums they have released so far.

This album is ridiculously good. Start to finish.

So glad Mike is back. I like the recent stuff before him but his voice is crazy good.

Mike makes the band sound so much better. I liked the newer stuff with Munroe but Mike has them kick it up a notch.

"Needle and Suture" narrowly over "Signal Path" and "Suffer Fools"

It's funny you bring up that song, because though I've already listed my three favorites in order, I think "Blow Your Mind" has a chance of leap frogging into the top 3 with repeated listens.

yep. I like his style a lot better.

I like munroe. Own two of his solo albums. Very good stuff
