I still enjoy that album. That's actually the one that got me into Bob Seger. The earlier stuff like Night Moves and Hollywood Nights and Turn The Page (ugh, I still hate that song) were so overplayed by album radio back in the day. But for some reason this album just clicked with me right away.

My eldest bro jammed Seger all the time and I was born the year Against The Wind was released so it's just always stuck with me the most. I have every album he's ever done but like you this album just clicks with me every time.
You're really hitting a lot of my "non-metal" soft spots today bro.
I'm a big Eagles fan.
Nice. I grew up and live in the country so music like Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, Seger, The Eagles, Petty, Gram Parsons, Flying Burrito Brothers, Poco, Springsteen, etc. really are up there with my love for Blues, Jazz, Doom & Stoner.

I'm curious as to what else you dig in that vein.
Love me some Steve Earle and Poco too.
Have you heard Blackberry Smoke? This one came up on my daily walk today:

There's a fine line between Southern Rock and Modern Country. I think the Blackberry Smoke album those two are from are Southern Rock. After that they seemed to cross into the latter IMO. But as I said, it's a really fine line. And I actually like a lot of "modern country".
But back on topic, still revisiting my AC/DC clone compilation:
