Jay Mohr - San Antonio 04-16-16

Completely amazing. Jay Mohr was already amongst my few favorite comedians, and he just sprang to the top. He was on stage for about 2.5 hours, just bringing it. Hilarious, and also moving with some stories that were cathartic for him with enough humor to keep us laughing. Just great. Then, for those of us with a "Hey Man!!" t shirt (for us sports nerds who are a part of his sports talk show sub-culture) we got to go backstage afterward. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was in for quite a surprise. #1 - Spouses were allowed, so that was cool #2 - This was no common meet-n-greet. We were back stage with him for over an hour! He was just a regular dude just hanging, talking sports, politics, race, religion, busting each other's balls, it was like college or the office. It was so cool. At one point, talking race (and my wife being the only black person in the ENTIRE audience that night) he leaned over to Karen and asked, "OJ, did he do it?" Without missing a beat, Karen laughed and said, "Uh, no." So cool. He took time with each person and got stories, wanted to hear all about how couples met, where you were from, take as many photos as you wanted. Best celebrity interaction I've ever had, there's not even a close second. I recommend his show, and even if you're not a sports fan go to his website and buy a "Hey Man!!" shirt. It's $50, but it doubles as the back stage pass, and he does not skimp on the back stage time. 10/10!

That's great man, sounds like an awesome time. He's a funny dude. Always liked him.

I've always enjoyed Jay. I remember how he and Michael Strahan use to spar on Fox Sports pre-game back in the day, though all in good fun. Jay one time told the viewer that Strahan's gap between his two teeth was so large, that he could floss with barbed wire!

I liked him with Jennifer Aniston way back in the day in Picture Perfect.
