| Mead is good stuff. My buddy used to bring a bottle over with two wooden goblets and we'd get drunk while watching Monty Python (Holy Grail). Fun times. | |

| I'm partial to still but I'm not sure when it comes to the level of sweetness but probably semi and dry. Mead is easy to get hammered on that's for sure so I only have a little bit at a time because before I know it I can drink the hell out of it.
I've been wanting a drinking horn just for gits and shiggles when I drink Mead.

I've been wanting a drinking horn just for gits and shiggles when I drink Mead. Chaucer's Mead is the one we drink. - Quote :
- Chaucer's Mead uses 100% pure honey for this specialty dessert-style wine produced in hives throughout Northern California and is composed of a blend of three types; orange, alfalfa and sage. Each of these components brings a unique quality to the blend and contributes to the overall complexity of the wine. Orange adds a pungent orange blossom flavor and has light color. Alfalfa is neutral in flavor but yields a dark, amber color. Sage, on the other hand, has a mild taste and a light color.

That's what made it my "go-to" vodka. I used to think the same about vodka until you sample a good one. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.

| I have never been a hard alcohol guy, but at a few weddings I have had a Scotch on the rocks. My Pops is a Scotch man. Lately, I have developed a taste for wine. But, only with dinner (and chix and fish). | |

| When it comes to adult beverages (excluding beer) my go to one is a Long Island Iced Tea. Though I do also like Tequila Sunrise, Margarita, Pina Colada, and a good Bloody Mary. My favorite of all time is real Spanish sangria, but unfortunately nothing I can get in the States comes close and none of the recipes I found online sound like the one I had in Spain.
I don't do straight liquor.
I used to drink sweet wines (don't like them too dry) every now and then until I realized they gave me headaches.

Yup, but only for a limited time. My son and I found it @ Walgreens' last week. My son liked it a lot, but I had pretty much the same reaction to it that I did in 1993 - "Ehhh... (shrug) it's OK, I guess." _________________ "If you're a false, don't entry, because you'll be burned and died!"

| As anyone who reads the "Beer" thread knows, beer is my favorite drink. But we're not talkin' Bud ( ), Miller ( ) or Coors ( ) here. Nope, we're talkin' about CRAFT beers; you know, beers that actually have taste. And I'm even picky within that genre. There are some beer styles I'm just not into like barleywines, sours or wits. My favorites are stouts, Belgians, old ales, lagers and recently double and triple IPAs. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Jack Daniels straight out of the bottle with an ice cold beer to chase it down with. I no longer drink though, but that was my favorite. | |

| I might as well chime in again, I was def. Jack Daniels all the way. I should of got a tattoo of him. 100 grand easy - over the years. I even had 3 - 4 boxer trunks with the logo... I sometimes bought a certain Tequila that actually had a dead scorpion on the bottom. Tequila and lime and salt shots ! I also liked snake-bites with Yukon Jack. I loved starting my Saturday mornings off with Kahluah and milk. Rumpleminz was another breath of fresh air giver - lol Fireball - cinnamon flavor - etc - was never big on beer though.... My first beers were Billy Beer....now I'm dating myself | |
