| Winter - Spring: a Sinatra. Two fingers bourbon (Jack preferred but I save money with Evan Williams), three rocks, splash of water.
Summer: either gin (Bombay Sapphire preferred) on the rocks or a 2.5:1 stirred dry martini with a twist.

| Since I guess beer doesn't count as a drink, I'll go with Tanqueray and tonic. Vodka tonics are good too. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| When I'm sitting home relaxing: Glenfiddich 12 over ice or red wine When I'm out somewhere fancy: Skyy (or other quality vodka) & tonic or red wine When I'm out with the boys: good beer When I'm at work: coffee (black) When it's cold: Hot chocolate with Dr. McGillicuddy's Mentholmint When it's hot: good beer or vodka/tonic _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. | Favourite cocktail is Rusty Nail (whiskey and drambuie). Though I more commonly drink beer (generally prefer IPA, but most hoppy ales work too), or red wine if there's food that goes with it. The best for relaxing though is smokey, peaty single-malt whiskey, straight.
Non-alcoholic: milk. OJ.

I'm with you MG. Skyy is my go to vodka. I'm not as picky with my vodka though as I am with my gin. I refuse to drink any other gin besides Tanqueray. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Yeah I really can't tell the difference between a cheap and expensive vodka tbh, but Gin is on a wiiiiide spectrum. Tanqueray is the shit, but Hendrick's is the most sublime I've ever had. I still go with Bombay Sapphire because it's got an undercurrent of spice that's unique and works real well for a martini. - Thrasher73 wrote:

Hey Corpl, thanks for supporting Evan Williams. I work for Heaven Hill, the maker of EW. Sweet! Must be a great job (even if the booze is discounted rather than free haha). I'm real curious how you guys craft such a flavorful bourbon that's SMOOTHER than Jack--and sell it for LESS than Jack. Great stuff that transcends its bottom shelf pricing. I've been enjoying the single barrel this week. Delicious.

Than you have never had decent vodka. There is a HUGE difference between the $17 and $27 bottles.

I really think it's just my palate and inexperience with vodka (even though I've been drinking gin for a long time). Off the top of my head I've had New Amsterdam, Grey Goose, Belvedere, Skyy, and Smirnoff. They all pretty much ran together.

Maybe it's only because I can't drink ANY vodka straight but the only differences I can tell are between bottom of the barrel swill (which always gives me a headache) and anything else. Skyy rarely gives me a headache so that's the one I usually have. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

The single barrel is my favorite and I don't generally like bourbon.

Skyy rarely gives me a headache so that's the one I usually have. Cheap Vodka is terrible.... can't touch it! If you drink Martini's (I am a huge fan), you can tell the difference. My go to Vodka is now Tito's - not too pricey, smooth and mixes well. Highly recommend it.
