Been on a huge thrash kick lately.

Ok I have been a huge thrash kick for about 3 weeks now and here is what has been playing.

Evile, Hyades, Dekapitator, LaZarus, Lich King, Neurotoxin, Bonded By Blood, Fueled By Fire, Vendetta, Fury, Rabid, Hellfueled, Overkill, Onslaught, Toxik, Cripper, Alltheniko, Necromantheon.................

All kicks bunghole thrash!

I just got EVILE in yesterday. Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet though.

I still need to pick up Evile, Fueled By Fire, and a few others.

I'm pretty behind when it comes to 'new school' thrash. I'm still really into the oldies though:

Slayer
etc.

I need to get some more new stuff. Lately I've been buying a lot of symphonic/gothic metal: Epica, Sirenia, Therion, etc.

I'm always on a huge thrash kick. Been jamming this new Witchburner which kicks bunghole! Also been listening to Deathchain, Gehennah, Warning SF, Dekapitator, Head On Collision, Guillotine, Hobb's Angel of Death, and the new Avenger of Blood stuff.

there is always some kinda thrash in my daily playlist. i wouldn't fit into this forum if there were not.

Their new album NO ANESTHESIA is a smurfing killing album "BLACK LEATHER METAL DAMNATIONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! KILLER. Other great songs are HEAVY DRINKERS, LETHAL THRASHING FORCE and METAL ARMY MARCH. For RAZOR mixed with early KREATOR fans. Increible. I have it on vinyl.

Didn't the band Stone also have an album by that title?

Thrash, gotta be one of the best metal subgenres out there, some of my personal faves would be early Pantera, Annihilator, Sodom, Kreator, Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer to name a few

I've listened to nothing but thrash for the last few months. My neck hurts.

I listen to a lot of thrash metal too all the time, but the last week i have been listening to a lot of cool black metal like VARATHRON, FRONT BEAST, GRIMUACK, HELLHAMMER, MYSTIFIER etc...

Same here. Lotsa new thrash coming out and I'm loving it. Been listening to Hyades, Municipal Waste, Evile, Fueled By Fire and Violator for the last week. Great to see some young bands taking up the movement.

There seems to be a big wave of new young bands playing old-school thrash. Even though it's in it's infancy, it will be interesting to see some of these bands develop, both as a whole band, and as individual members. Will we see another Cliff Burton? Is there a new Alex Skolnik or Kirk Hammet coming up? Do any of these new bands have a chance to break out of the underground and hit the mainstream or will they remain cult-favorites? I guess only time will tell, but it sure will be fun to watch and especially listen.

Months ago picked up Doomsday For The Deciever for the second time and forgot why I even got rid of it. That and finally getting some Ultimatum CDs (up til then I only heard various songs from compilations), which I couldn't find at my usual Christian metal haunts, I have re ignignted my love of thrash. On my want list are the remaining Ultimatum CDs, some Overkill (since my mass CD exodus I've only recaptured I Hear Black), some more Anthrax (I've got the Anthology discs), some more Testament (I have The Ritual and Live In London), and perhaps many, many more.

Yeah, i love that album too. I also have their mini lp WITCHING METAL and THE FIRST NECROMANCY with their early demos on it. Love WITCHTRAP. Together with REVENGE, METAL KING, NIGHTMARE(specialy great for RIOT fans), SKULL, INFERNAL, INVASION and BEELZEBUL, they are my fave band of COLOMBIA today.

I agree with what everyone is saying about witchtrap, what an awesome band! Another "witch" band to check out is witchburner from germany. Another band that delivers pure old school thrash!

Yeah there is a lot of new thrash bands. Its quite amazing how many there are now. Hell even some of us older guys got back into playing thrash again and watching the scene around me grow is awesome!
