Which Witch Do You Prefer?

If a band has "witch" in its name, I want to check them out. I don't know why, but the "witch" makes a band very intriguing to me. There's an appeal there, whether I end up liking them or not. As an '80s metal lady, I'm sticking to '80s bands with a decent amount of output, so which of these witches do you like best?

I picked WG from your list - a great underrated band IMHO. Have you ever heard of Skeletonwitch, they are some great extreme Thrash.

They are all great metal bands - incredibly enough -
and they all seem to have a gently haunting vibe -
I bought Stormwitch about 6 months ago - loved the studio sound -
and that fantastic cover photo - THAT'S setting the bar high !
and Witchkiller - who can deny -
the classic underground anthem "Riders Of Doom "
Singer sounds like he was BORN just to sing that very song !
Angel Witch - what a fantastic merging of various styles !

I'm starting to get more into Witchkiller. Checking them out, I immediately liked "Who Are We?" and "Riders of Doom" and had them on regular rotation on my mp3 player. Listening to more of their stuff, I've since added "Cry Wolf," "Day of the Saxons," "Rage of Angels," "Loving You," and "Over And Over Again."

I recently started listening to Axe Witch after seeing them listed on Encylopaedia Metallum. They have a lot of output. I didn't like them at first, but a few songs stuck like "Just Another Lunatic," "Heavy Revolution," and, especially, "Stand Up."

Stormwitch's Walpurgis Night is excellent. One of my favorite metal albums. Beyond that album, I only like a sprinkling of songs here and there like "Eternia" and "Ravenlord."

I like songs from all the bands I listed. "Invisible Hate" by Witchfinder General is one of my all-time favorite metal songs. For the poll, though, I'm going with Witchfynde. I really like their debut album, but their third album, Cloak and Dagger, is one of my all-time faves. I bought their fourth album, Lords of Sin, on vinyl and there's some really good stuff on there, too. They were the first "witch" band I really got into.
