| If you were going to make a box set with one song each from 30 - 40 Christian bands, what bands and song would you include? Start with bands from the 80's and go to current.

| Apart from Mortification, Believer, and Living Sacrifice, I didn't get into Christian metal til I became a Christian in late 2000. The only Christian metal I have from the 80's is a best of Stryper CD and a bunch of tapes that I try not to use (until I can afford the equipment to trasfer tape to CD). But I could do a box set from late 90 to now If that's alright (I'll get back to this later after I've had time to think about it). | |

| Ult's discs are gonna make most of us look pretty lame...but I made discs like this. Not comprehensive, but I really like them myself.
Disc One is actually pre-Christian hippie rock with spiritual themes. There was actually a lot of that until Christian rock got more specialized. Mostly obscure stuff, but I did work in songs by Bang, Stray, Sir Lord Baltimore, Wishbone Ash, etc. It's titled the "Psychedelic Old Testement".
Then two discs of classic Christian Disc Two
1. Stryper- Intro/To Hell With the Devil 2. Rez Band- Military Man 3. Xalt- Piercing the Darkness 4. Stryper- The Way 5. Whitecross- He is the Rock 6. Saint- Times Wasting 7. Leviticus- Born Again 8. Narnia- Shadows from the Past 9. Laudemus- I Am 10. Barren Cross- Deadlock 11. Balance of Power- Seven Days to Nevermore 12. Saint- On the Street 13. Trouble- Heaven on My Mind
Disc Three
1. Deliverance- River Disturbance 2. Laudamus- Lost In Vain 3. Masquerade- Judas Kiss 4. Jacobs Dream- Scapegoat 5. Veni Domine- Healer's Face 6. Deliverance- Slay the Wicked 7. Jacobs Dream- The Warning 8. Laudamus- Salvation 9. Wisdom Call- Lost Generation 10. Narnia- Falling from the Throne 11. Jacobs Dream- Never Surrender 12.Deliverance- If We Faint Not 13.Veni Domine- Innner Circle 14. Trog Dawn- Fallen World
Masquerade and Trouble are borderline secular. Also my next disc will include "Open up my Eyes" from the secular band Teaze (1976). | |
