Best of 2014 by Metal Rules

Probably have more on that list then any other i've seen.

I haven't bought many of those, well one tbh.

I haven't bought any of those, don't like any of it.
Spent a lot in 2014 on metal, doubt any of it is mentioned on that website.

Not bad as a list. I happen to own about half of these albums.

what a busy year 2014 was.

I liked the fact that iron savior is in the list. This band never fails to deliver. Too bad it is underrated, including on this very board.

Not into most of that.
Power metal is boring and too polished.
I only like RIOT with Guy Speranza, (and sometimes his replacement Rhett Forrester R.I.P.).
The ACCEPT album I heard 1 or 2 years ago was good, but I forgot about it the next day.Not as captivating as the early albums.
Those bands mentioned by you, are the kind of bands that are played on metal radio shows + podcasts these days, and why I almost never tune in.

Too lazy right now after typing up what I bought, to figure out what the exact release year is for them, but this is a good portion of what I bought in 2014.
Not including the cassettes (demos + albums). or the majority of CD's+CD'R's.

and one of the most expensive single LP's for me in 2014 was WARPED !!
The "Thousand Men Strong  - VINYL (2011)" LP, I bought last August,2014 directly from Tokyo Blade,
A replacement still has not arrived. (Today is February 14th, 2015).

I thought I would be more supportive by buying from them, for the same price as on Ebay or discogs, and then it arrived warped.
I was promised a replacement, then a couple more emails asking again for my address.
Then 2 or 3 more emails I sent afterwards have not been answered by Andy, after the original 2 or 3 where he said he would replace it.

That guy is just as bad as Roland from that German death metal band BEYOND, who finally after around a year, sent instead of the tshirt, the LP and 7 which I already bought, but was all marked up/damaged/had duct tape/masking tape on it, so no longer worth the same price I paid , for a mint version, (I can not resell these extras for actual worth), and, also got an empty CD case!

Ridiculous.

These actions reinforce my view (a view many others also have) -
bands simply don't deserve our money and we should just download all the music we want for free.

Mine (in fact, I only own three albums in total by the above-mentioned bands).

Of that top 30 list, I only have the Iced Earth and Sabaton albums, although I probably will get the Sanctuary one at some point.

Mine. I only bought Triptykon off that list. I own albums by priest, accept, riot & overkill just not the new ones.

That's from 2013 so couldn't have been on this list but it is brilliant.

On that list, I own the albums by Cannibal Corpse, Overkill, Exodus, and Judas Priest. I actually listened to the Cannibal Corpse and Overkill albums yesterday.

Seems like a reasonable list. I have 6 of those with plans to get 2-3 others.

i think they have most of the good ones, although not in the order I would prefer but its pretty good.
