| Since i've been a fan of The Who for 45 years now, that's my vote but I don't deny the talent of the others. | |

But you've also pointed out the basic flaw in the original post of Classic Songwriting TEAMS. So let's blame Uncle Sax on this one. BURN HIM!! BURN THE WITCH!!! I always assumed Daltrey had more of a hand in the lyrics, but I am no expert. I was more going for Britain's Big 3 kinda angle.

| Aerosmith were waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more metal - than The Who - Did The Eagles collaberate with one another - or was that seperate credits ? I always thought they put together some quality lps over the years - | |

For your penance, say 3 Hail Marys and listen to Pretty Boy Floyd's Leather Boys With Electric Toys all the way through. And don't let it happen again. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Exactly. That's why I'm a bit confused about this thread. I love the Who and own all their studio albums, and I know Daltrey only wrote like four songs or so, maybe one or two of those with Townsend, so if this is about songwriting team in a band, I'm kind of scratching my head here because they were never a team like Lennon/McCartney of Jagger/Richards. Uncle Saxon please clarify.

I always thought they put together some quality lps over the years - Don Henley and Glenn Frey were the main songwriters for the Eagles, but they weren't a team in the Lennon/McCartney or Jagger/Richards sense as they often wrote songs together with both other band members and outsiders - Jackson Browne and JD Souther were frequent collaborators.

I just made a false assumption that Daltrey was/is more involved in the songwriting.

| Only in here would you get chastised, most people don't know and end up voting for their favorite group.
