Favvorite from "Forever Free" by Saxon

My choice is the title track

Between Hole In the Sky and One Step Away but went with Hole In the Sky which almost sounds like Zakk Wylde riffing on it.

I don't have that album. To Spotify, I go!

I thought there'd be more response, this is a good album.

This, and the next [Dogs of War] are Saxon's most feeble efforts. But I think the shitty record label they were on at the time pushed them to produce something.

Yeah, the first two songs are great but then it fizzles. I'll listen to it a few more times before voting.

Man, I love Dogs of War, it's the album that showed me they were completely back.

"Forever Free" for me.

Saxon were well on the way to a career resurgence with this album.

I'll say it again, James you should have left these polls open. You left "Dogs of War" open. I listened to this a couple of times yesterday. I'm going with "Hole In the Sky".

Sure it sounds like Saxon, they've had tunes about riding bikes since the first album in 1979. Saxon are not rednecks, so why lump a tune about riding into your bias and/or prejudice opinion? Talk about lame

Yes, they have songs, like "Motorcycle Man", about riding bikes, but they were never red-neck southern rock like these two albums are.

It sounds a lot more like Saxon than whatever it was they did from 1984-1988...

I think it's a good album. I would go with the title track.

I missed voting on this one, but I would have picked the title track. Like others stated; not their best effort, but not the worst. I like the next album more (Dogs of War) and the next album even more (Unleash the Beast). But I think "Metalhead" was their best output of the '90's.
